It may well morph into that but Esupa, Walter, and Trammell aren't bad either.

Way too easy... Rush TD up the middle from the first play.
Now 29-43. Good night yall. Was fun while it lasted.

Nice design on that onside kick.

Onside kick ... nicely ececuted against the center receiver. Recovered by 'Bows.

Next play: "Straight down the middle, north and south." TD Hawaii! Blocks were to the left ... he cut back to the right and sped to the goal line. Grrr.

43-29, Hawaii. 1:35 left in the game.

Not to pick on him, but again, what exactly is Robert doing on that run? He kinda just wandered into no man's land.

Things didn’t go quite our way, but the Owls were in it til the end. Still issues to work on, but it’s clear this coaching staff is light years ahead of Bailiff ball and will make further improvements.

UHou had a strong win over Arizona, and Hawaii is legitimately a top 50 team with their QB.

The Owls have certainly demonstrated they will be exciting to watch this season. Wake Forest is clearly within reach...

Stank tosses an INT while trying to throw it away/to someone who wasn't there.

3rd & 10 at the 42 ... No blitz ... Stank's got happy feet ... high arcing duck to the right. No Rice receiver in the area ... intercepted at the sideline.

Reviewed ... interception stands.

Spread formation ... Hawaii runs up the middle for a few.

QB scrambles ... and slides. Game over.

43-29, Hawaii.

So, who wants to go to the Galveston Island Humane Society shelter with us in a few hours to take care of the cats? Tough when playing on the far far left coast...lol

Hell of an effort... And far better than CSU/Navy. Looking forward to a 2006 type year.

After those first two drives last year, we're probably looking at a 30 or 40+ point loss. I'm just exuberant to see that we made legitimate and effective defensive adjustments midway through the game. Let's hope these type of close games turn into wins as the season moves along.

Also, and I mention this because it's been the biggest criticism the last who knows how many years, but I don't think we were beaten once over the top. Granted, Hawaii likes those shorter passes, but the only really big passing play they had was a catch and run.

Return flight appears to be SCX 8609 if anybody is intent on tracking it.

I too am happy to see adjustments being made. I just wonder why we were not ready for those kinds of plays to begin with. We gave up 14 quick points, and ended up losing by 14.

I think that's a fair question. I think that's probably because this is a new staff implementing a new system, and it will take some time to evaluate fully what we have. It's not like anybody else has started out strong against them.
