Follow Forbes and the men's basketball twitter feed, and you will be much more informed than relying on the news organizations.

Why is it "way too early" to talk about newcomers?? Multiple schools around the country, with much better football programs than ours, have articles and videos about their basketball program over the summer. We have a lot of new players that I'd like to learn about. We dont need a 100 day countdown for a 4-8 football season

How hard would it be for the SID or someone from that deptartment to interview Coach Forbes each week about the progress being made each week in summer practice?? They practiced for 8 weeks starting in June and we got not one piece of information???

Toughness has nothing to do with injuries. Many times players try to come back to soon after an injury or try to play thru injuries but the outcome is bad. That is why coaches and players no longer have any say in when they can return to action. Only the medical staff can clear a player for participation.

Bo and Mladen played thru injuries all season. Jeromy tried to come back and play but his shoulder wasn't up to it.

Didn’t question anybody’s toughness as it relates to injury. Said “this group’s (as in team) toughness remains a question mark (as in unknown). There are exactly 4 guys on this roster with any D1 experience. This isnt HS or Juco and the group (team) developing the toughness necessary at this level is absolutely an issue - weight room pics or not.

RE: Any News?
Players have to experience practicing and playing against D1 talent. Learning what it takes to play at a higher level is a test of a players mental and physical toughness.

This is why a player that can handle the rigorous schedule of activities that Forbes and his staff demand of their players, if he has the talent, will be successful.

RE: Any News?
I think there's been a steady stream of updates. Forbes recorded a podcast with UNCG fan Mark Zanetto and he's been on the morning monster a few times.

RE: Any News?
What does taking cheap shots at the football team have to do with getting info about the basketball team.

Forbes controls the info about the team. He allows what is released and when.

As other posters have commented, there has been video's, TV clips, podcasts and radio appearances, print articles and pictures.

Man, Voldemort had one 6’11 recruit to his name in his time here. Forbes will in theory have 2 x 7 footers eligible to play in a single season. (Side note, don’t care for Harry Potter, but we haven’t named our previous coach in a good while, so he shall not be named.)

“Voldemort” also recruited Peter Jurkin.

Ah, duh! He also would have run him off, though. Suffice it to say, he who shall not be named never really used a true center and wouldn’t have known how.

RE: Any News?
Asst. Coach Bob Bolen actually recruited Peter. He was good friends with Mugsy Boggs who was a father figure and mentor for Peter. Bolen convinced Mugsy to bring Peter to ETSU for his official visit and the rest is history.
