not necessarily. say USM and/or FAU have 1 loss going into Saturday but the saturday and sunday games are cancelled. There's the possibility that a 2-0 Charlotte or FIU could get the shaft if the highest remaining seed gets the autobid

both teams go the their bullpen after the weather delay so should one of those make it to the hopeful championship game they could easily come back with them if not before.

and just when things get good and fast moving we've got a lightning delay at 12:10 pm so action is stopped until 12:40 minimum

Has there been any rain yet down in Biloxi? Up I-10 in Gulfport (Rice's team hotel), it was sunny and clear until 11:00am, then we had a thunderstorm with a 30-minute downpour, and now it's sunny and blue skies again.

according to one of USM's beat writers the tarp wasn't/hasn't been put out for this delay so hopefully that means the game won't be delayed much longer than the 30 minute minimum

This is a cluster....They should have started this yesterday considering the weather, we have already burned 2 starters on this 1 game and still in the bottom of the 5th. Garbage.

Thank god Tech plays the next game. I remember when this happened in the WAC which made it worse since we were already so many time zones behind to begin with

No. FIU have now used their #2 (Nunez), #3 (Allen) and #4 (McDonald) starters. They still have their ace.

That's ok, FAU's pitching has been disrupted as well. The first FIU batter faced by our third pitcher of the day went the yard. 2-2 at the top of the 6th.

FAU has only burned one of it's top pitchers (Meidnick). The other two pitchers you've used are mediocre to poor middle relievers.

From what I understand, our pitching has been decimated, so, possibly, that's what we've got. Don't quote me on that as I truly don't have an idea.
