Pro Day Wednesday March 7th

In my years of fandom, huff was the 2nd best talent to run at niu... after burner tuner... I loved Wolfe , spann, t hammock, even 2007 j Anderson had moments ... but huff was special ... I wonder if health and attitude can align ... if so, is he really worse than Kareem hunt ? When healthy both dominate players in the recent Mac
Are we talking about the same Garrett Wolfe that ran for 1,656, 1,580, and 1,928 yards and 57 total TDs in 3 consecutive seasons???
Please tell me that you just didn’t say that Huff was better than him.
That has to be the craziest thing I’ve ever read on this board. Huff had all the talent in the world and everything needed to be great on the field, apparently he just didn’t have the character and drive that Wolfe, Spann and Hammock had in order to put it all together.
Exact reason why Huff isn’t as good as Kareem Hunt either. Hunt is another high character guy who was a workhorse and loved by his coaches and teammates. Hunt was more like ACRB character wise but Hunt had much more talent. That’s a better comparison

It may not matter, but those are unofficial times. Great numbers if they hold up. Size is the issue for both guys though.

A 4.38 can get people to overlook how tall you are.

Exactly. I’m happy for Lurry. He would be a solid Nickel for any team in the NFL. Also he’s tougher than most think. The year when we missed going to a bowl game he played through many injuries. Nobody knew until the end of the season. A fresh Lurry can be a stud player assuming he stay in the gym to get bigger and stronger .

Wow, those are very good times by both of them. And they are both big enough. There are many guys that are smaller than them, especially Beebe. Beebe is 5'10 180lbs. Lurry might be a bit on the light side only being 5'7 160lbs. But 4.38 is plenty fast enough.
Nice job by both of them.
Any times on any other guys???

RE: Pro Day Wednesday March 7th
The only thing I hesitate on is that pro day times seem to be faster than combine times. Not sure who does the timing but there could be a bias there, hoping for fast times by the players. Still, the difference isn't usually all that much.

You might find a handful of NFL DBs under 5'8, which is where Lurry falls. Is it possible? Sure. But he's undersized.

No idea. Not sure if he can tackle or not, but he would be a helluva safety with his size, strength and athleticism

Blake’s 4.5 time was solid. He has a legit ante chance. This is where a scout needs to do his homework. His stats fell off badly during conference play. His market value took a hit when we stopped throwing deep. If you extrapolate his 3 games with Santa to a whole season it’s 84 catches, 1044 yards and 12 TDs; those are Galladay type numbers. Hopefully he gets a real look.

I like Shane Wimans chances as well. Really good football player for us when healthy.

Blake was on his way to a break out year than Santa got benched. He never recovered from that. Also he dropped too many catchable balls in games. He has a shot, but a very lonnng shot.
