RE: MARSHALL > MTSU
We wont beat Marshal in the tournament if we play them again. They are just a horrible matchup for us for some reason. Kermit has yet to come up with a good defense to stop their offense.

I don't think UAB has anything for MTSU, but we sure have something for WKU and Marshall

Meh, you're one and done in the tourney anyway just like last year so it's not an issue.

It's been about the matchup all year. We match up horribly with WKU and UAB, slightly inferior to ODU, and very well with MTSU. That's all it's been. Good game, bad game, refs, whatever...it's about the matchup.
Also, I can understand maybe not being up for our game, but how do you shoot 50% from the free throw line. 10 more points there would have made a huge difference. Slightly behind on FG%, slightly ahead on treys, waaayy behind from the line. Seems mind boggling for a top 24 team to shoot sub 60% on the easy ones.

I don't know how you explain us shooting so poorly from the freethrow line at home. We have been a good freethrow shooting team all year. I thought this team was mentally tougher than what they showed tonight but I guess I was wrong. They let the combination of being ranked, just blowing out our rival, being talked about as an at large candidate, having the #1 seed wrapped up, and senior night get to their heads.

The rebounding is the thing that shocks me the most. We don't out rebound anybody.

That was all hustle and a lot of that was sparked by our bench guys Williams, Wataon and Geoege. Those three came in and olayed solid agressive D and really hit the boards hard. MTSU is clearly the class of CUSA but we oit hustled them and out worked them on the glass tonight.
We need that kind of intensity and effort on the boards more often.

Great win fit the Herd against the best team in the conference. Funny game bball, N1 loses to N8 in Horizon, N1 loses to N9 in the MAAC etc. Kermit is a class act and I am still hoping they are in good shape should they not win in Frisco, but the P5 boys are always looking for reasons not to invite G5 schools, and I hope MU did not just give them their excuse.

RE: MARSHALL > MTSU
Congrats to Marshall.
First conference home loss we've suffered since late Feb 2016.
As Kermit said last night, Marshall is better than us right now.

'Deserves' but we won't get one unless we make it to the champ and lose to WKU by 1 or something. Committee will try to screw us.
I'm not kidding when I say the NCAA will find a spot for ND first. I just heard the committee chairman speak.

RE: MARSHALL > MTSU
Great game MT... I think that THIS YEAR for some reason that we are a bad matchup for you. I was very surprised the Herd beat such a solid and ranked team twice due to our non-existent rebounding and inconsistency...
I truly hope that you still get an at-large should you not win the tourney.... best of luck to you guys n the tourney....

The committee takes into consideration injuries whether they should or not. ND is a top 25 team with Colson.

The committee will not consider any injuries and/or illnesses for C-USA teams. You can take that to the bank.
