St Mary’s is 0-0 against Q1 in the non-con and 1-1 against Q2 in the non-con.
Temple is 2-2 against Q1 in the non-con and 3-0 against Q2 in the non-con.

I am all for mid-majors getting a fair look but when you’re in a crappy conference and you don’t even try to put together a decent non-con schedule you deserve to be punished.

At the moment, St Mary's are shown as a 7 seed in CBS and 10 seed in ESPN. No way Temple jumps them verse an at-large. I am confused why AAC fans think an RPI is the primary factor for teams getting in. It is the COMMITTEE that decides and uses the RPI as a tool. Every year there is a "controversy" of a lower ranked RPI getting in over a higher ranked RPI. It reminds me of the how the Fans used the AP/Coaches Poll as indicators of how the CFP polls would look. It is just not the real world.

St. Mary's is the 10th from last team in on the bracket matrix and the last team in on the Dance Card. Considering their profile is largely weighted on only having four losses they will drop like a rock if they drop another one. If St Mary's loses in the conference tournament, at the very least Temple and St. Mary's are going to be involved in the same conversation.

They beat Gonzaga, which at the worst cancels out their bad loss to San Francisco. As long as they lose to Gonzaga or BYU, they should be fine.

rank 'em

edit: would probably help if I gave them each letters

Was hoping to have some more takers but here are the teams:

A: Alabama
B: New Mexico State
C: St. Mary’s
D: St. Bonaventure
E: Middle Tennessee State
F: Temple
G: Loyola

Both of our takers (and I) have Temple above St. Mary’s in the blind resume. We all also have the Bonnies over Alabama. According to the bracket matrix, Alabama is a cut above all of the other teams listed (P5 bias).

The Philly class of 2019 is loaded and Temple needs to get some Top 100 players out of that class. Dunphy is not the guy to do it...

This guy is the one I want...

http://www.villanova.com/sports/m-baskbl...47282.html

zero percent chance he is fired ...zero

instead of asking for something you know wont happen, you guys should be pushing for different assistant, some who can recruit

for example look at houston in 2008, we were recruiting at levels we hadnt seen since the swc (1 5star, 3 other espn 100 in a 2 year span), we lost our top recruting assistant to smu..we instantly stopped recruiting anywhere near that level, smu instantaneously started recruiting at levels better than anything in their history (picked up a 5star and numerous other espn 100s) ...the larry brown situation happens and he is a casualty ..smu hasn't recruited answer near since..

now he is at a&m their coach ha been there ages and sucked througout, a&m is a hisorically horrible bball school..they hired urlic 3 seasons ago..they hired the assistant 3 seasons ago and now they are a recruiting machine they had had something like 8 4stars in that 3 year span..the assistant is urlic maligi

a simple assistant change could drastically alter your recruiting

Pesik, to say you don't know what you are talking about is an understatement regarding the firing of Fran. I am hearing tthe complete opposite unless they make the tourny. My sources are pretty close to the decision makers.

Unfortunately Howard will get picked off in the next 2 years. We are stuck with One and Dun-phy for 2 more years. I have never seen a coach do less with more than Dunphy. He has at least the 3rd best talent in the league, and coaches like its 1965 in the Big Five. No one on that staff has a clue about how to coach rebounding. WE get outrebounded most games. We have 3 legit big guys that have the worst rebounding techniques ever.

No, he wont be fired. We are stuck for 2 more years. And no, as much as it pains me, I dont want us to get a tourney bid. Why get embarassed on national TV by losing a first round game by 20 points.

Temple continues to be a football school. Never thought I would say that.

Unfortunately I agree with almost everything you say. However, I do want Temple in the tourney this year . It will make no difference on Fran. He will not be extended, and will retire in 2 years. Need to get as many banners as possible so the next guy can elevate the program from one and done to Chaney level and beyond.
