Sounded like Charleston cut down the nets tonight after their regular season title win and being their senior night, so, they may not be on their A game on Saturday. I hope they are, and I hope we can temper senior day focus issues, and really make this game a preview of a CAA tournament final. Team needs that confidence and to plant some doubt into Charleston by stopping their 11 game win streak. Love to plant 100, but would love more to see us simply play great defense and take care of the ball for 40 minutes. Need a big student turnout.

Nick Harris was injured in their first half tonight and in a boot and crutches after half.

Speculation on Charleston message board that Brantley may have to sit out our game. He got a T earlier in their game tonight, so, possibly a team rule???

Whole different ballgame on Saturday if their two primary big men are out.

That said, Harris only played 9 minutes, and Brantley finished 1-12, with only 4 pts and 3 rebs, and yet Elon still got handled. Riller and Chealey went off for 52 pts. Elon just in the tank this year.

CofC tied with Michigan St and Grambling for longest winning streaks in the country.
All the locker room incentive needed:

Ha! Just excuses for them to rationalize away their loss to us!

Too bad the Elon game isn't before the Hofstra/Towson game. If Elon were to beat Northeastern (and I'm assuming that it is Elon's senior day, so perhaps they will be fired up and win), then Towson would actually have to play hard against Hofstra in order to avoid the 6 seed.

There are several scenarios where Towson and Hofstra could play again in the tourney as 3/6 or 4/5 seeds. Probably both teams want to avoid that.

I have been trying to find out about the incident involving Brantley - nada.

Hard to believe he would be “suspended” for only getting a T. That’s an extreme punishment.

Knight probably won’t start tomorrow but that has nothing to do with his T.

So, basically, 8 guys leaving the roster. (That is going to be a heck of a Senior Day ceremony) We'll be down to 7 (counting Omar) and getting 4+ (we hope), new freshmen. That will give us 11 - 12 for next year. That's a short roster. I'm thinking we may need to have another "full college" tryout to fill out the bench, again next season.

Harris is day to day per twitter. My guess is that he’ll sit since they have clinched the #1 seed.

Brantley got a second technical last night with less than a minute to go and was consequently ejected.
Apparently, the CAA rule that used to mean it resulted in automatic next game suspension was rescinded when the new Commish took over.

There are several scenarios where Towson and Hofstra could play again in the tourney as 3/6 or 4/5 seeds. Probably both teams want to avoid that.

Elon has 2 games left. See multiple earlier posts about the tiebreakers. They play the make up JMU game also at home on Monday. So, since the game is after, theoretically Towson cannot be sure they won't win both games at home. Will be hard enough to win tomorrow for us. Hofstra also appears to be rounding into form and could crush Towson even if they try and play hard.

We just need to win because it will help our mentality for the tournament. Evan on behalf of Hofstra, and some of our posters, including me want the 3 seed because that team doesn't have to face 3 of the top 5 teams to win in Charleston. The 4 and 5 seeds probably will have to.

But, past performance doesn't make the tourney easier. Remember in 2014, the Tribe defeated Towson in the tournament after having lost to them twice in the regular season. We also lost twice to Delaware in the regular season that year and we all remember how we played them in the title game.

Always apprehensive playing your teams offense. Does matter what year it is or how many players you lost your coach teaches that to perfection. He is one of the best coaches in the CAA.

Tribe has hit 7 of their last 10 to move to 57% from the floor, 4 of 6 from 3.

That play at the end of the half was BEAUTIFUL. I’d love to see us use that more frequently

They are not the same team with Riller on the bench. If he gets in foul trouble in a tourney game next week they will be in big trouble
