We are on the same page...

If someone said if you hired Pearl that all of his seasons would be vacated but he would win a Championship in one of those seasons...

I would begrudgingly say...Sign me up.

Kentucky played no schedule for the 1952-53 season as part of the fall-out from a scandal which rocked the nation in 1951. Revelations of point shaving and dumping games came to light when Junius Kellogg, a star of the Manhattan Jaspers basketball squad, was approached by a former player and offered $1000 to dump an upcoming game. Kellogg reported the incident to authorities and the New York District Attorney's office was called in to investigate and make the arrest. The investigation that followed, under the direction of Manhattan District Attorney Frank Hogan, led to the unearthing of such widespread gambling and corruption within college basketball that it implicated thirty-three players in eighty-six games, with the knowledge that many more got away.

Kentucky was the first basketball program to receive the death penalty, and it was well-deserved. The most serious issue that a sports team or organization can face is the influence of gambling and the game's resulting loss of integrity, so when it was revealed that Alex Groza, Ralph Beard and Dale Barnstable shaved points during the 1948-49 season, a season in which they won the national championship, severe action had to be taken. The NCAA ordered UK to cancel the 1952-53 season, the trio pleaded guilty to accepting $1,500 in bribes for gamblers, and a fourth player, Bill Spivey, was charged with perjury because he refused to testify against his teammates.

University of Kentucky Basketball — Probation, 1989-1992: An investigation of Eric Manuel, who was suspected of cheating on a college entrance exam, led to the uncovering of numerous NCAA violations committed by Eddie Sutton's program. Not only was it discovered that Manuel had partaken in academic fraud by cheating on his ACT, but it was revealed that assistant coach Dwane Casey sent an envelope containing $1,000 in cash was sent to Chris Mills' father — this coming as the program was already on probation for paying recruits. Kentucky narrowly avoided the death penalty, receiving three years' probation, a two-year ban from postseason and a one-year ban from live television.

The cash envelope was a setup. And really, look at those allegations and think about UNC and Louisville today. Those incidences wouldnt be a drop of water in the bucket today.

This is false. As I said, you need to dig deeper. It was a crime that Alex Groza was blackballed from basketball.

Our of all the blue bloods, UK is by far the cleanest. UCLA, UNC, Duke, Kansas (lol) have way more corruption in their programs.

But none of that matters anymore. We share a rival that we both know is a total POS and bastion of corruption. UK isn't in trouble for anything at all. It's irrelevant to the conversation.

Prostitution for underage recruits, players, and parents.
Money used for escorts were from the coaching staff and university funds.
A brothel on campus for players
Institutional fraud at the highest level
Mob like environment from Tom Jurich
Repeated lies to the ACC about current positioning
Rick Pitino's indiscretions.
Arranged marriages for coverups
Next goes before the board for an FBI scandal that includes Coach 2 (Pitino) arranging 100,000 dollars to a recruit (Bowern)

I could literally keep going.

but that 1,000 dollar cash payment sure is something.

Louisville getting the hammer just goes to show the NCAA wouldn't have thought twice about stripping Memphis of the title if Chalmers had missed that shot.
