Congrats to SU, NMSU sucks at free throws and defense was non existent.

Starting to worry yet? Seattle had a poor shooting night and the Aggies still lost. Seems like something is not right in Aggieville. Either that or the WAC has started to figure the Aggies out. Las Vegas should be a lot of fun!

Seattle U had a bad game and still won. Insane. Great game Aggies, but wow this is a very proud moment for SU. Arguably the best win in school history since returning to D1.
I think this is a sign of things to come for SU under Hayford

I don’t even know what’s happening in Bakersfield. Did GCU take some melatonin before tip off? There’s this nifty thing called defense... they should try it. Only 6 points in ten minutes? No offense either. This is going to be a long night.

Yeah, this is very hard to watch right now. It is hard enough to have to watch a game on that blue gym floor (hard on the eyes) let alone to see GCU playing so poorly.

GCU has already got the refs in their heads. They complain too much and fixate too much on bad calls (or perceived bad calls). 30-12 right now!!!

Yeah... this is a team that is out of sync and unable to snap out of a funk. Not sure what Dan can do, as he looks more frustrated than they do. They’re underachieving his year and they’re imploding at the worst possible time. We’ve gone from thinking they’d win the conference outright as well as the tournament and go to the big dance, to basically hoping they get past the first round in Las Vegas. Rough year. Hopefully they make a second half comeback and decide to play like they did against the Aggies.

RE: Week 7 of Conference Play.
So I’ll be the first to say I’m a fan of our Aussie players. Matt Jackson and Gerard Martin are great guys and have high basketball IQs. I think they deserve more time on the floor. That being said, neither of their rolls is that of a leading scorer. They’re most defensive players. So, the fact that they are the teams top two scorers with a combined 11 points at halftime, it shows how broken the Lopes offense is tonight.

This year is SO....ODD, all around the conference. At least its setting up for an interesting Tourney, IMO.

I'm not worried at all. We are still 22-5 overall and 9-2 in WAC play. NMSU will finish the season 25-5 and 12-2 and win the WAC Championship.

I love the confidence! I really wish my Lopes were good enough for me to have confidence in them. Unless something amazing happens at the WAC tourney, this GCU season will go down as a bust.

Scott, we haven’t tasted victory in about two weeks. I’m hungry for a win, and I’m just a fan. I hope the guys on the floor are feeling that hunger too... Vegas has an all you can eat buffet waiting for us in March. I hope they get their money’s worth!!!

GCU is tough at home. I expect a GCU sweep this week.

Congrats SV. You guys have a good team, a great coach and tons of talent coming in next year. I'm glad that you all are having an excellent season and are a team on the rise for sure.
One side effect of the Aggies losing is it really propped up the RPI's of Seattle, UVU and the WAC as a whole. And our RPI did not change much. So I guess all was not lost.

All it did was put to bed the 2 bid talk.

A sweep of Seattle and Utah Valley would be sweet. It won't get us back to second in the WAC though unless Bakersfield can defeat SU and UVU also. I hope they will have just as much trouble on that blue gym floor as GCU did!

It was a huge win for SU and brought some extra excitement to the program this past week. I'm just worried about a let down on the road vs GCU. SU has had the most trouble with GCU since joining the WAC. But GCU seems vulnerable right now and a hot-shooting night can beat anyone in the WAC.
