OOC Schedules for 2018
Okay, so who is on your OOC schedule for 2018 and how do you anticipate that you will fare?
APP has the following:
Sept. 1 at Penn State
Sept. 8 at Charlotte
Sept. 15 vs. Southern Miss
Sept. 22 vs. Gardner-Webb
I see us struggling against Penn State while breaking in a new qb but feel confident that we will do the Belt proud against CUSA foes Charlotte and So Miss. With a win against Gardner Webb, I am hopeful that we go 3-1 out of conference.

For GS
09/01 - Presbyterian
09/08 - UMass
09/15 - at Clemson
10/20 - at New Mexico State
I expect to see an improved team this season. I don't think we get all the way back in one year but I see us having 6-6 or 7-5 type season. Presbyterian better be a blow out win for us. After that UMass and NMSU will both be winnable games so 3-1 OOC is not out of the realm of possibility for us. Clemson would probably be too much even in a good year.

I think Clemson and NMSU are losses. I just don't see us bouncing back that fast after last year. UMASS is winnable game at home barring another Category 100 hurricane. Presbyterian better be out of the game by the second quarter. I'm going to say 2-2.

Doesn't NMSU loses their star RB and QB?

Yeah, NMSU loses a lot, but it's still a tough trip.

Southern Miss losses as much from graduation as App does. Including their stud WR Korey Robertson who declared for the draft. Considering the game is in Boone, App will be favored. We'll go 3-1.

I though Larry Rose still had one more year left, but you're right. It's still going to be a tough trip for us.

NSMU loses their QB, best RB in history, their best WR, and two OL's. No way Georgia Southern loses this... that DeBesse triple-option is going to wreak havoc.

Outside of bama. Easiest OOC schedule we’ve had in a while. 0-4 probably for certain

Not that the 2017 season necessarily has anything to do with 2018, Rutgers went 4-8 last season. Three of their wins were against Purdue, Illinois, and Maryland. That would be the same Maryland that marched into Austin and curb stomped the Longhorns (of which many a Bobcat is a closet fan. . . . Please do not count me among that group).
While I love your optimism, we're sporting 2-10 records the past two years. We appear to be a dead program, if not dead, then certainly on life support. EW has yet to show that he knows how to win at this level, and we are talking about Bobcat Football . . . a product that rips out the heart, and crushes the soul.
Your assessment is correct, were we to go 4-0 it would shock the world.
I look at our OOC schedule for next year and the optimist in me says 2-2.
The realist says 1-3.
I hope that I'll be pleasantly surprised by our performance. For most of Bobcat Nation, the only thing surprising about our program is just how bad it's been.

I think 2-2. TSU is the easy win and have to think they beat NMSU without Rose III. Maybe sneak one by UTSA or Rutgers.

Losing to Kennesaw State would probably go over as well for you guys as it did here when we lost to UCA.

They are #9 FCS on Massey. GSU is #99 FBS. I'm not sure this is a trap game, as they are likely better than you guys are at the moment. I'm not at all trying to be a dick, they're just really good. I'm really liking your recruiting class though, and those freshman could make a real difference, and a lot will depend on what the two squads have coming back.
