BTFO. Seriously.

Nope, you will call it THE WALL, and you will be present for the ribbon cutting!

Quote:Democrats are starting to acknowledge the inevitable on Trump's wall

While a foreseeable pathway to getting some kind of bill on the president's desk faces significant hurdles, Democrats are facing an inevitability regarding the immigration issue: funding for President Donald Trump's long-desired wall along the US-Mexico border will have to be included.

Democrats are beginning to embrace the possibility of having to fund the wall in a compromise

The inclusion of a wall and fencing along significant portions of the southern US border will be something most Democrats will have to stomach if they want a bill that Trump will sign — they just do not want to call it a wall.

"First of all, using the construction of the border is a term that I think is not the correct term. Will there have to be robust border security? Yes. Will it involve some segments of barrier? Yes," said Sen. Claire McCaskill, who serves as the top Democrat on the Senate Homeland Security Committee. "But to say a border wall, it conjures up the image of sea to shining sea wall and I don’t think anybody in Washington thinks that’s gonna happen, including the president’s chief of staff."

Alabama Sen. Doug Jones told Business Insider that he assumes funding for wall construction will be in the compromise, but that it is too early to get into the specifics.

Come on Mach, aren't you getting tired of this mess? Let's face it, Trump is pretty much a d*uch*bag, but seems to be a pretty darn good businessman, and that is what this Country needs right now, someone that can negotiate deals and isn't scared of confrontation.

Yeah, the Democratic Party has been, and is still, very active in shaping public opinion and interjecting "fake news" into our political process and its never influenced my vote. Because I think for myself.

I'd suggest that people learn to "process" what they read or hear through their own brain before believing it or adopting it as their world view. Problem solved.

THE EVIL RUSSIANS MADE ME BELIEVE HORSE CRAP! BY TWEETING! SHAME ON THEM! LOCK DOWN TWITTER! CENSOR FACEBOOK! INVESTIGATE!

How about have the education system teach our citizens to think for themselves instead of teaching them to willingly accept dogma.

You know who is influencing dumb people to believe horse crap MORE than the Russians? Dumb celebrities.

You make the mistake of believing that all Trump supporters are what the media portrays. Fooled by your own spin.

Enough Americans supported Trump to get him elected. Most of those sympathize with the plight of illegal aliens brought here as children who have been defacto "good citizens". Most of them also want such illegal immigration to stop permanently and immediately and not be a continuing problem.

So Trump has plenty of room to reach a reasonable compromise with those voters.

When you start a negotiation in the middle, you can only cede your position. But if you start at the extremes, you can give plenty and get back to where you wanted to end up at the beginning.

Not sure why the media hasn't picked up on this tactic, but can only assume that they would rather rile their base up and create more division.

This would be my objective.

Immunity from deportation for Dreamers and other illegals, under some sort of permanent resident alien or guest worker status, but no patch to citizenship except anybody who serves in the military and obtains an honorable discharge can become a citizen (I still don't know why that part isn't the law already).

Merit based immigration, with an end to the lottery and an end to, or severe restrictions on, family chain immigration.

Full and complete background checks on everyone we let in.

Strengthened border security, but not necessarily a wall (I would give on the wall to get the other points).

Just about everything President Trump says is for both parties...at least those sensible enough to understand whats best for this country. Those on the far right and far left will never "get it"

Again I will say, President Trump is about as close to a democrat in the White house that we seen in a long time. Most democrats can't see this because of the progressive points the media is driving that play to the loudest voices. Those working families that voted democrat in the past saw this.....

the center is a very good spot for this country
