humans.....they are a problem at times.....

viral introduction/eradication is not far down the road to population control.....

and it doesn't matter if you like it or not.....

I've said it too many times......Hitler had it right....he just did it the wrong way.....

....and they'll never see it coming....

it's just a matter of when....

Question for muh scientists... why wouldn't they put all the strains in the flu vaccine instead of picking a few and guessing?

At what point do you realize you are being fed a line of bullschit.

My wife is the only one that got the shot this year because she was with child. I guarantee she is the only one to get the flu.

Sorry about the kids Mach. I had the flu for almost a week during Christmas, felt like ****. And thats coming from someone who rarely gets sick. Thats how I knew it was going to be bad. Then after that, I ended up with a cold, which I am still trying to get rid of.

I got a nasty cold Thanksgiving week and the cough was still lingering until this week.

They used to all but force us to get the flu shot because of our exposure potential. I got the flu just about every year. I haven't had a flu shot since I retired and knock on wood I have yet to have the flu.

I've gotten the shot once 2 years ago and got the flu. I've only gotten the flu one other time in 38 years.

RE: H3N2
i got the flu last year. hung out with mary jane, the couch, and twilight zone. oh, and a pail next to me. i had no responsibilities for like three days. and it's not like anyone could help me really because i would just shoo them off, 'go away, dying. make the child stop crying.'

i remember the last time i got the flu. i was probably in fourth grade. my mother would wheel the television next to my bed and give me chicken noodle soup and a two liter of seven up. i think i watched coverage of the presidential debates and the waco standoff. that's when i first got interested in politics

it's sort of like an unplanned vacation

RE: H3N2
With my daughters immune condition our family had to get the quadrivalent. Normal flu shot protects against three strains quad of course 4. It’s a game of roulette boys. They pick the four strains they think will hit. I had a class in 12 fatal diseases 2 summers ago. The flu was one weeks lecture. Fascinating topic. H is from the pig the N is from the chicken or vice versa. You get the drill. One is like 22 variations the other 9. Those are just the A strain varieties. There’s a B and C strain. So 9 x22. Plus the other strains. You couldn’t put 190 + strains in a vaccine. I do know prior vaccinations stay with you though. Go read up on it. It’s an enjoyable read. I remember transmutations being a big part of it too. When it goes through a Bird than a pig. Then it can be nasty to us. I think that’s how it went.

I have never had a flu shot in my life unless they dumped one into the cocktail in boot camp 25 years ago.

Flu shot sent my mother in law into acute neuropathic vasculits. That diagnosis was from the neurologist. No thanks.

Try Mucinex. Used to get horrible congestion with colds and such. Now at the start of something I start taking Mucinex and congestion is lessened and goes away faster. It works wonders for me.
