7 point under dogs at home.
That is a huge spread against this style team. I do not think we cover. This is a bad matchup for us and I think our bigs will be in foul trouble quickly which will lead to a domino effect. This would be a big game for Harper to draw lots of fouls and try and mess up their lineups. Our team making some shots would be nice too.

RE: CofC
I just got an e-mail this morning that the Charleston airport is closed, so hopefully COC was able to make it here today.
Assuming the game is played, I'm going to go out on a limb that the travel issues and weather will affect COC and their play. But after what I've seen out of Drexel lately, I can't pick them to beat anybody. At this point, I'm just hoping for a healthy roster, and we don't see others get hurt.

All of the flights for today out of Charleston going to Philly are listed as canceled. I'd assume based on yesterday's weather that it was more of the same then. Here's hoping they flew out on Wednesday in anticipation of the storm.

From the CofC boards:
"Brutal travel schedule today due to the weather. Bus to Columbia, flight to D.C., then another bus to philly. "
They further go on to say that they made it just after midnight.

Our coach and AD decided if they could get to Philly yesterday they would. A postponement would probably have ended up with 4 games for both teams starting Sun through next Sat. Not good for either team. Looking forward to watching a good game tonight

Define good?
The brand of basketball may not be good. The results for your cougars probably should be good.

First no injuries on either team
Second win or lose my team looks like they are at least trying.
Some fans expect no.mistakes but these are not pros on the court. I can live with mistakes. No player in the CAA is perfect.
I do not expect an easy win tonight. Your team is playing very good overall at home and will be dangerous by the end of the year

Isabell will test in warmups, but he's been practicing. I expect him to go. Coming off of a shellacking, and with all of the Cougars travel woes and a potential look ahead to Towson, this is about as good a spot as the Dragons can get to sneak up on Charleston. Could be messy.
Flip side to that: If Dragons lay an egg tonight we all have a lot of reasons for additional concern.

I'll take that kind of good. Dragons win 87-82 in OT. Hopefully we can continue to get healthy and gel as a team. As bad as we looked at times, the two games where we've been only missing 1 guy (Houston and Charleston) has been good.

RE: CofC
I had a feeling that this would be a tight game tonight and that Drexel would have a chance to win, factoring the brutal travel situation for COC and that Drexel was mostly healthy tonight. I was thrilled that they were able to put out the exciting win tonight against the #1 preseason team in the CAA to see Drexel end their 8 game CAA losing streak. Ironically, Drexel's last CAA win was also on a snowy, miserable night last February when half of the W&M team was sick. Travel in the CAA is brutal and Drexel needs to take advantage of when road teams come into the DAC beat up and tired. Glad to see the Dragons take care of business tonight.

I LOVE being wrong when I try to predict a score.. At least the way that I was wrong tonight.
I only got to watch the overtime... guess I'll have to check this one out on demand!

Game felt like it was slipping away from us but we managed to hold on. This is a great win and very unexpected. Made some questionable shot selections late that thankfully didnt hurt us. FT's were shaky as well but we hit the last ones that we needed to. Nice to essentially lead from start to finish and actually get the win.

Demir really impressed me this game. He seems like he is gaining confidence and has pretty good vision out there.

He talked after the game with Rob Brooks saying he was a point guard in high school (like his countryman Hedo Turkoglu did later in his career with the Orlando Magic). So at times with Lee, Isabell, Harper, and Demir we really have four point guards on the floor at once. Maybe some day when we want to go big we'll have to put a lineup of Demir, Overton, Green, Tadas, and Stretch out there.
To me one of the more impressive plays by Demir was his three pointer coming off the handoff/screen by Stretch at the top of the key. He took at dribble, squared up and shot like he was Damion Lee or something. If he gets to the point where he can do that consistently, he will be a force.

RE: CofC
I hope we can look back on this season and say it really was a matter of health. With Isabell on the floor and a complete compliment of players, this team can be very dangerous. It was only while we were banged up and shorthanded that we laid eggs at Loyola and several others.
I'm hopeful that if they can stay healthy going forward that they can become more complete and know how to use all of their weapons in key spots. That would limit the times when the guards just throw up crazy shots trying force plays. THey're still learning that with game on the line, it doesn't have to be just Kurk dribbling around creating somethng out of nothing.
