That gets them to 20 wins. If they can win just 2 of the other games- @ Houston, Cincy, @ UCF, Wichita, and Houston- they would have 22 wins and a RPI around 40. With all the quality wins they have/would have- that gets them in the tourney pretty easily.
Yes I agree it would also make the league competitive for a fifth bid. 6 teams would be top 50/60 rpi. Cincy, WSU, SMU, Houston, UCF, and Temple hopefully Tulane, Tulsa, UConn and Memphis can keep top 100s to really help build resumes.

SMU helped themselves tonight, but Houston certainly didn't.

Damn it, Houston. Every time it looks like this league might turn the corner and pick up 4 bids, someone shoots themselves in the foot.

If you watched the game, clearly you'd see we probably would have even missed our foot.
It was just ugly shooting. 30-something pct. smh.

Tulane is not going to be a bad loss for them; what they need is a few more good wins.

Not anymore, we haven't been able to rebuild it since bc#1 burned it down. He hasn't started paying restitution yet. It's such an eyesore
Think you could give him a raise so he could make some payments? He told the judge somebody keeps stealing the money from the tip jar at the end of every night and that's why he hasn't paid.

RE: AAC NCAA tournament bids. How many?
So looking at estimates vs actual-
Hou/Tul- Hou proj 56 act 56 Tul proj 102 act 105
SMU/WSU- SMU proj 58 act 59 WSU proj 27 act 28
Tuls/Tem- Tuls proj 132 act 130 Tem proj 51 act 50
USF/ECU- USF proj 298 act 296 ECU proj 302 act 302
pretty damn accurate. 5 of the 8 projections within 1 spot. Only 1 even 3 spot difference.... I think we've found ourselves a pretty good tool going forward!

I’ve been saying 3 all year. It could be 2, but I’m sticking with 3.

I see 4.
Both WSU and UC will lose enough games to bring about more parity and raise other schools' profiles.
And the bubble will be very weak this year.

Not Too Tough: Tulane, Temple, Tulsa, Uconn
Very very bad: ECU
Possibly worse than Chicago St: USF

I think UC, WSU and SMU get in. The rest... who knows where they end up.
I feel bad for USF though, 'til I remember that we're rebuilding and football and they aren't.
Brian Gregory though, that's harsh.

RE: AAC NCAA tournament bids. How many?
You know what AAC basketball needs?
RELEGATION!
Fans of The Premier League know how exciting relegation makes the season for the bottom feeders. The AAC should relegate the bottom two to the MVC and the top two in the MVC should move to the AAC.
YES..... I know it's completely impossible but wouldn’t that be a pisser?

USF is not worse than Chicago St by a long shot. Heck, they won 7 games out of conference. They also lost to UCF by 2 and were down to Cincinnati by 2 at halftime. Of course they got blown out in others, but there a couple of very good freshman getting playing time that are going to be great building blocks. Brian Gregory is going to get it done, based on his past history, but he was left with less than nothing by the former coach. Freshman David Collins looks extremely promising.
Back to topic at hand, AAC will get 3 in. The committee will find a way to keep either Houston or SMU out at the last minute.
