Remember - Frankenstein was a monster too. Made from various pieces and parts. Like our current team. I don’t it turned out too good for him either....

Every single recruit the Tigers have brought to the city of Memphis can be credited to Esposito with the exception of David Nickelberry, who was supposedly recruited by Saul Smith, even though Esposito was the one to offer and recruit him.

https://247sports.com/college/memphis/Ar...-112841081

doesn't suprise me the Tub wanted to credit Saul for doing something, anything, even if they have to lie about it.

In all seriousness, is that a good thing or a bad thing?

He's like the guy you give $100 and tell him to go on a beer run after you run out of some good craft beer and he comes back with 10 cases of Milwaukee's Best.

Did he succeed because he "got beer" or did he fail because the beer he got wasn't what was expected?

That's a pretty good analogy.

Actually Saul comes in with him, wearing Pee Wee Herman pants, claiming he bought the 10th case.

I suppose Esposito is good guy but i take his tweets to be be sarcastic....they are weird. I just don't think any of the coaches are effective at what they get 6 figures to do and Tubby 7 figures.

Reminds mea of a real life situation in college.

Esposito looks good to some, but only by comparison to our guys who do nothing.

His tweets and approach to recruiting are questionable—-And that’s putting it nicely.

What kind of party are you talking about? You aren’t going to get the girls drunk on $100 dollars of craft beer. I’d take 10 cases of the beast.

I'm sure he is nice.... but should he be a church deacon or something that lends it self to his nice nature? You're not getting recruits from being nice. You'll get good conversations over coffee but probably not top 150 recruits...

No one wants to destroy Tubby or Esposito character...but can they do the job well today...not 10 years ago or 5 years ago...now here at Memphis?

Joe has been the guy who has gotten the recruits that we have. If the other coaches had brought in two recruits apiece, at the same level as Davenport and Johnson, then we'd be better off. We wound up having to sign Joe's B and C recruits, since the other coaches whiffed.

I don't know who is responsible for what recruit...To me Tubby is responsible. He's the 3MM dollar guy. His staff is his business so I group them collectively.
