I believe the 7 that were suspended at the end of last season (and into this season) were a result of failed NCAA drug tests in the playoffs, not due to HCMH disciplinary actions.

It's a pretty open secret, but never officially confirmed by the NCAA or JMU. Nor should it be, but a quick reference to the NCAA guidelines for length of the suspensions does give it away.

Pretty neat that UVA has become such a good feeder program for JMU. It used to be Fork Union.

Lol, is this where posters pretend like a certain former o-lineman didn't get a drug suspension? Not like we're protecting his NFL career anymore, so why even pretend? Dude flew to TX with the fans, pretty clear he wasn't "injured".
Why is the truth so scary to certain people?

Agree, but if you represent JMU in any official capacity you probably don't want to confirm any of that just from a Privacy Act concern. If you also throw in that nothing is gained throwing a kid under the bus, then I don't disagree with a decision not to broadcast the details. That being said, we're not stupid (and we're also connected).

I understand JMU not putting negative info out if they're not required to, I'm just laughing at the people claiming otherwise with no evidence at all. How stupid do these people think we are?

At JMU, they have a legit chance to beat Va Tech and Richmond.
I think JMU has more wins over the Hokies than Massah Jeffuhsun's Univuhsity over the last 14 years or so...and we've played them only once I think.

Not saying you’re stupid by any means, but word gets around. I commend Coach Houston for the way he handled the entire situation as it helps build a foundation HIS way. It’s not going to bother my if you believe my word or not, but I’m not (nor is anybody else I hope) going to come on here posting unnecessary lies and starting rumors. Saying “I believe” because I’m not sure about all of the players as I personally can only confirm a few, but the timing of the suspensions led me to believe that was probably the case.

Wow only 3.5 months. There’s been some decent player turnover lately compared to last year. I’m wondering why.
It seems like more often than not, transfers don’t end up panning out.

Madia asked coach Houston about Moye and he wouldn’t indicate why.

In that case, I think we should make something up.
I'll start...
...he was visited by aliens from North Dakota who wanted to anal probe him for hours. He, of course, gave in and thoroughly enjoyed it. During the probes he gave up important information like what it looks like in the new D Hall and junk.

RE: Juwan Moye
Best case scenario, he realized the depth and skill level of our D-line and that he was going to be a rotational end. Thus was the reason for his transfer. This would make me feel better as the depth is a question mark leading into the season. Therefore, I believe this is the reason until further details.

Dang. Ron'Dell back to splitting DE and DT I guess. Wasn't an area of great depth to begin with.

With Moye leaving a already thin DT, someone is going to have to be moved to DT. I can’t see for the likely 2 deep:
DE: Darrious Carter, Rondell Carter, Daka, Black, Terrell.
DT: Greene, Artariwa, and the true Fr Thurston. Is there someone else likely to be a solid 2 deeper?
R Carter was listed at 269 last year. Houston was quoted in the article a few days ago saying he was playing mostly DE, but was also about 15 lbs heavier, so I guess around 6’3”/280-285ish.
https://jamesmadison.rivals.com/news/car...-next-step
FWIW Greene last year was listed at 6’3”/277 as a true Fr, and Atariwa at 6’3”/282 as a rFr.
