Who knows? There will be a senior who has played sparingly the last 2 years in mop up time, and a sophomore who has barely seen the field. Also a true freshman redshirting this year. To be honest, it wouldn’t surprise me if all 3 transfer.
This crap of an offense doesn’t fit any of these 3 guys anymore than it did White.

If Kevaris Thomas signs I wouldn’t be surprised to see him thrown to the wolves as a true freshman. He is what Clown Shoes wants in a QB. Plus it would give Clown Shoes a whole year of excuses being able to say “Hey look guys....we’re starting a freshman at QB....you’re gonna struggle”

Dual threat/zone read... it’s what we’re stuck with.

Can confirm quality HC matters. As soon as Shawn Elliott took over this season at GSU, suddenly we are a recruiting well (2nd in recruiting among SBC teams behind App State), winning the games we should win, and the team is playing with intensity. We're no longer just "that basketball school" in ATL

You never know what you've got until the lights go on. That goes for head coaches and quarterbacks.

Spring is not far off.

I think anyone can confirm quality HC matters.

Dual threat/zone read... it’s what we’re stuck with.

which isn't a bad option if he can read with decent percentage of accuracy....

that is the issue most have within that design.....

granted our schedule wasn't close to playing against the cream of any elite this year, but if there's one thing southern miss found out when going to that schema???.....if he sucks, he really sucks.....

his replacement (KG) that was 'injured' this year to some extent has easily achieved my expectations of what you're looking for in that type of QB at our level.....most of our fan base knew KH was dogshite after hop-a-long pulled the shirt last year (some of us made feeble attempts in the 'hope' dep't going into this year....not me)

select a well versed from HS or JUCO from a similar system, surround with speed and height at the skill positions, develop a semi-decent O line, and you can hit the home run over the long haul more than not....

at that level, that offense is almost indefensible when it's clicking....

when it is, all it takes is to run game clock and overteach the fundamentals of protecting the ball throughout the season/game.....do those two things with success and you don't wear your D out by Q3......

in a simple macro nutshell, that's my take....

Trust me when i say this and this is no way a shot at you folks but "No Body other than a few GSU Alum gives a damn about GSU in Atlanta". I see it all the time with my own eyes and don't feel bad even GaTech doesn't get a damn from folks here. Good Job by the way. You got a bowl win now. As per WKU that Dad and Son are gonna run you into the ground just like Butt ******* Bobby Wilder and his crew are doing to us right now.

we just have need to keep winning. that's all. we have 50,000+ students. 100,000 alumni in the Atlanta area alone. Build a winning tradition and the students/alums will come. Period.

We sold out our allotment + 1k extra tickets to the Cure Bowl. This is significant because it is one of the indicators that the brand for our 8yrs old football program is growing every year.

Good for you. Congratulations on your first Bowl win. I remember the CAA days when i used to think WTF was wrong with your team year after year but here we are after 4 years and you have done two things that ODU wasn't able to get done in multiple attempts beating Jawja Sodurn and Wustin Kunticky.

Todd will not allow this kid to have 5 years if he sucks especially considering what we did just a few short seasons ago.....I think if still in a downward projectory he will be fired after 3 seasons...Either way we have this guy for at least 2 more seasons, I hope this season was just two systems not working, at least recruiting looks solid on paper at least...

Just read this on Twitter from WKU's beat writer for the Bowling Green Daily News. This is absolutely pathetic. I do NOT expect the head coach to be gone, however there better be some changes made on his staff.

Quote:WKU’s 60.85 rushing yards per game was its worst per-game average in listed team records, which date to 1954. Only the 1984 team and its 69.8 rushing ypg come close

I wont give up my season tickets but I've made my last road game over a 2 hour round trip (all of the games are road trips for me) unless I just want to visit that city. Too painful and costly to go on the road and watch this team play.

This coach is not going anywhere....no way Todd admits he made this mistake. Going by Sanfords comments I don't believe changes will be made. He still thinks it's a talent problem. When you say..."it's a good thing not to get coaches poached" or something like that.....

you have to believe a coach doesn't see his staff as the problem

This team got worse as the season played out.....

even if you believe it was a talent problem good coaching at least makes players improve. Right now I can't name any player that actually improved during the season. This is about like taking a team full of run and gun players that are built to play fullcourt and try to make they play half court pound the ball into the pain basketball. It will take 3 recruiting classes to switch into another system. That's if you have a coaching staff that can actually teach....

there was no need to go in this direction and only a idiot would even think to do just that. Well Western's AD made a idiot move and idiots are usually the last to admit they made a mistake....other than a dreamer. Now Western has both.

I believe the buyout is 18 months pay for Sanford and I don't know if its base pay or total pay. Going by what Western list they are only on the hook for $600k and someone else (probably HAF...I know they paid some of Brohm's raise).

The below capture came from Western's official records reported to the state of KY so I assume they are correct. A few of last years staff was still getting paid this year...they had a 2 year contract.

Tony Levine coached one of the best special teams last year and made 50k. Sr. is making 180k and ran our special teams into the ground

Guns...glad you’re back. Haven’t seen you post lately on the “other” boards and was worried about you.

I don’t know whether many that post here are HAF donors that give more than the minimum, but I do. I’m REALLY going to have to evaluate for myself how I feel about next season and how that relates to my 4 season tix AND MY DONATION. I also have 4 season tix for the Titans and I’m about done there too. Ive spent many $Ks over the yrs on the Titans and have gotten some great memories there...but that is about over for me. With WKU, it’s more than just a business transaction because of my ties to my alma mater. However, I’ve learned over my many yrs that $ talks. It’s what causes folks to leave for other jobs and also causes folks to be shown the door.

I’ve stated before that I don’t think MS is a bad person, but this hire has failure written all over it. I’d hate to be in Todd’s shoes right now. WKU doesn’t have SEC money to make sweeping changes...That makes this hire even that more disappointing. At some point...What’s the cost-to-benefit ratio of keeping him. I predict that season tix, attendance and HAF donations are going to be tremendously affected by this disastrous season.

I was fully expecting to cut some slack next year with struggles...NOT NOW. I’ve seen all I need to know.
