RE: Strengths and Weaknesses Going Into 2018
I'm not too worried about Bogan, but Bellamy looks like he just gets wrecked out there. It's a shame because I honestly think he's better than Franklin and Bogan in terms of picking up pure yardage. Tucker can carry the load, and Walker looked great at the fan appreciation day (when he wasn't looking lost).
Really, with as good as our offensive line is, we only need decent running backs. We have four really good ones, they can't all get injured, can they?

RE: Strengths and Weaknesses Going Into 2018
Our running game will be as good as our passing game. This year clearly proved, one needs the other. We had a stellar offensive line this year, and the best backs in the league and beyond. But predictable play calling and a poor passing game allowed defenses to stop us enough to prevent us from winning as much as we should have.
we need to change how we did business this year. From top to bottom. If leadership doesnt recognize this, own it, and develop a much better plan, we will be in trouble no matter what players we have. Time will tell.

Judging by Lester offering JC QBs he’s either not sold on Wassink or more QBs are leaving the program. There’s already 4 lined up to be on scholarship next year if you count the 2 freshmen commits + Wassink/Goddard. Riddle and Mussat are walkons

Lester recruited this kid and had verbal commit. He ended up at LSU then JC. Mr Football in La High School. No way shouldnt Lester at least talk to him. I'll bet two current QBs end up transferring to D2 or FCS. Lester had little time to build a QB base I'm sure he brought in some of these kids hoping a diamond would emerge. Every first year coach does the same

Or Wassink's injury is cause for concern moving forward.
Either way, it's certainly a position that needs depth.

I'm thinking at least 1 of the current QB commits is not going to sign. No way we take 3 QBs in 1 class. If Goddard was our best option at back-up, we need at least 2 QB's in this class to begin battling for 2nd-string.

or 1 or 2 move to another position. happens a lot going to college. QB is best athlete in high school and you want the ball in their hands. In college better fit at safety or reciever

NY Bronco is right. A few years ago LSU had something like 11 HS QB's on their roster and several of them started at other positions. It's very common.
