There's an outside chance. After three four solid years Memphis is at least now a "name" that people (voters) think of.

It all depends on our performance in the Liberty Bell and Norvell's next QB.

Folks.. Iowa State is a tough challenge. They beat Oklahoma and TCU, so we have our hands full. They held both high powered offenses in check!

Would have helped if UCLA didn't crap themselves.

RE: What are the odds...
Many AP voters like to throw the G5 a bone, by getting behind 1-2 of us in the preseason. So there's a decent chance Memphis and/or UCF are ranked.

True but we are returning alot! And kept our coach. So if we beat Iowa state I'm hoping 20-25. And not having to spend half the season just trying to get near the top 25.

What are the odds...
I believe that our 2018 Tiger football team will be strong again. On offense Henderson and Taylor are exceptional running backs, Pollard will continue to provide a breakaway threat at running back or receiver. Coxie will come into his own next year at receiver, and Magnifico and Dykes will excel at tight end. David Moore will be a true dual-threat quarterback, Brady Davis is waiting in the wings, and Coach Norvell may bring in another surprise guy at QB.

On defense, Carter will still excel at corner, and Austin Hall is back at linebacker/safety. We get several guys back who were injured.

These are just a few of our remaining players. I trust our coaching staff to field a competitive team. If the well had run dry, Coach Norvell might have jumped to another team.
