Those bragging about it being a deep blue district and the GOP not having a shot are completely missing the point. This story was never about conyers, it's about getting the ball rolling on the 264 settlements and rocking the halls of Congress.

No. The Conyers family is getting ready to start family feud. Conyers endorsed his son, his 27 year old nephew has said he also wants the job..... my guess, two cousins about to fight over the spoils of the old mans kingdom.....

At the percentage rate he was being re-elected, I seriously doubt anyone will come close to touching his son's chances. Don't be naïve enough to believe anyone in that district is actually voting based on policy.
