Campbell has one of the best point guards in the country in Chris Clemons. God we could've had him and Kyran Bowman (Boston College), that would've given us the best backcourt in the AAC imo.

Absolutely.

I’d add Temple’s current backcourt to that list too.

Well I'll predict both Clemons and Bowman get NBA run. Time will tell.

Is that what happened to the football team in wichita

Perhaps you should look up what actually happened to the football team in Wichita and then reconsider your approach.

we're a guard heavy league.. i doubt a high volume undersized scorer on a horrible team makes you the best...

i think every single aac team is being carried by guards

For those looking for an interesting comparison, take a look at Ria'n Holland at Mercer. Nice scoring numbers. Way better efficiency numbers than these other guys.

Couldn't crack the rotation at WSU.

This isn't meant as a "WSU so good" post. Nor do I have anything against Holland. He's having a great college career playing ball and I'm very happy for him. But he wouldn't be a starting guard for half of the AAC, much less putting up the numbers he is.

Clemons had 38 against NCSU in the preseason, he can score against anyone.

And Holland scored 31 against one of the top defenses in the country in UCF.

There is more to the game of basketball than scoring points.

Glad to see there are fans in this conference enamored with the almighty PPG, though. Was starting to think that stupidity was confined to MVC fans.

No, I just know the kid is a bigtime talent stuck on a Big South team.

RE: 12/4 AAC Basketball Game
lol, Chris Clemons has 170 career assists versus 171 career turnovers. If anyone on WSU's backcourt (especially a 5'9" ballhog deluxe) had that penchant for taking care of and distributing the ball, he'd last one season on the roster and might see mop up action in a dozen games. This dude wouldn't play real minutes for half the teams in this league.

ECU fans may have deserved Lebo.

You do realize that he faces all the defensive attention right? If you get bored tonight, watch him.

If you get bored tonight, I'd encourage you to watch teams that are good at basketball for a reference point.

Good thing I don't live in a state with Duke and UNC (who I both hate), but where Wichita State would be a complete afterthought.

For reference point, Kansas would be the 3rd best program in NC, and in some years the 4th best team.
