On the bright side, our football fans got to see a QB who could consistently complete passes down the field, and our basketball fans got to see good 3 point shooting. We don't get to see either very often.

Getting dropped from the USN&WR academic national 200 hurts too. Like everything is trending in the wrong direction.
Sadly, I’ve been feeling this way too. Though the new women’s coach and the incoming men’s B.B. class give me slight reason for hope. And I just had to have thanksgiving with a bunch of JMU folks too. That wasn’t easy.
Sadly, I believe the only loser here are you keyboard coaches and old high school athletes. If going to college earning a degree while playing the sport you love is your definition of a loser, your life must be sad!!! Relax its just sports lol

Yes. We will continue to be losers until we have better coaching.
Looking back over the past 25-30 years (which is my window), MBB has been up and down and we are most likely slightly below average right now. We do appear to be much weaker than some of the great early/mid 80s teams and the Bazemore/Hassell CAA teams. 2017 and 2018 recruiting appear to have the potential to bring us back to, or above average.
Football is obviously a different ballgame, needing a lot more time to build a team, fanbase, stadium, etc. I think that we killed ourselves going to the CUSA because (1) the talent is better and (2) nobody cares about playing UTSA, so the fans are passive and we can't recruit any better. Hopefully the stadium will help make the game more of an event, much like the Ted does for basketball. Sitting in Foreman watching no-name teams is getting pretty brutal. I have had season tickets from day 1 and it is much less entertaining now than it was back in the W&M/JMU/App State days.
WBB is tough, the new coach seems to be a good hire and the 2018 class seems to help. I was Big Blue back in the day and saw some good teams. Obviously now we aren't even in the same universe with talent and coaching with Barefoot representing the bottom of the barrel as far as I am concerned.

My biggest complaint about football is 6-6 is considered a successful season... And 9-3 is no different... some crappy weekday bowl game against some other crappy team. We basically play for nothing.
At least none (or very few) of you are also Giants fans. I was combating my thanksgiving tryptophan overdose with bourbon to stay up to watch the sh**& game vs. the skins.
