Honestly this kind of reminds me of the 03 playoffs. I'm a Yankees fan - Yanks and Red Sox had a thrilling ALCS, Aaron Boone hits an extra inning walk off in game 7.... and we got smacked around by the Marlins after that.
Wut

What statement did you make exactly?

We were in line to legitimately play for the national championship. Easily.

We did not follow that game up and tumbled in the rankings, but it was all right there.

Something neither USF or UCF can ever do (probably), playing in the AAC...be in line to play for a NC. Have a legit shot.

That’s exactly what I would expect from a fan of a team with absolutely no hardware in the trophy case. You guys don’t even understand big November games because you’ve never played one. The fact that you think a September game is the biggest in your history is a hilarious indictment on your program and how little you’ve accomplished.

Yet the War on I-4 trophy is housed at the Lee Roy Selmon facility and not at Brokehouse Rustworks "Stadium".

usf fans 2008: “UCF is beneath us and we have nothing to prove against them. We’re moving on to be a peer of FSU, UF, and Miami.”

usf fans 2017: “Owning the series record against UCF is the crowning achievement of our existence as a football program.”

Sounds like you guys are actually waking up to reality.

I'm ok with USF being ranked #5 or #17 early in the season and finishing out of the money while UCF works their way up through the rankings and wins a championship. Clearly SOME USF'ers don't value winning championships as much as where they were ranked in the polls earlier in the season. And even more disturbing that there are SOME USF'ers that will root for UCF to lose in the NY6 bowl if they are fortunate enough to make it. They could care less about the AAC.

If UCF were playing for the Natty Championship I would root for them to lose. Every sport, every game, all the time. So there's that....
