RE: Frost not mention in latest candidate update Nebraska
Personally, the job offers that worry me are A&M, UT, UCLA and Florida. I think people overestimate the alma mater thing. It’d be difficult for Frost to recruit anyone to Nebraska, let alone speed players from the sunbelt to play in 20 degree weather

Frost will have multiple options this off-season.

There are two coaches that will be, without a doubt, coaching P5 schools next seasons --- Frost and Norvell.

And one of them will be to stay with a team that’s kicking ass and loaded with underclassmen.

Why would any coach want to stay at a school thats guaranteed to never be in the playoff?

And behind multiple TWO loss teams in the poll that matters most. If Scott Frost is cool competing for at best a NY6 bowl every year he'll stick around. If he has any desire to chase a national title he'll leave. Same as all the rest.

That’s absolutely correct, Nebraska is guaranteed never to make the playoff.
Look at undefeated Wisconsin, outside looking in.

If Wisconsin beats OSU, they are in. I doubt they can though

Nebraska will always have a shot unlike ucf. The arrogance that you guys are some how good enough to not lose your coach is astounding.

It’s not arrogance, it’s an understanding that maybe the guy is a good dude who might just care about his players enough not to ditch them for more money and prestige at the very first opportunity to cash in on their success.
Maybe he doesn’t. I don’t know and neither do you. But to act like it’s unprecedented is ridiculous. Chris Petersen could have left BSU for more even after his first season, but he stayed what, 7 years?

And how many others have done that? Literally everything you just said could be applied to tom herman before he left. You guys aren’t special and as long as we are G5 we will never be able to retain our coaches.

I’m sorry Tom Herman hurt you, but if you couldn’t tell that guy was after a promotion from the start, I don’t know what to tell you.
Maybe Frost is different, maybe he’s the same. Time will tell, but the two don’t seem to have anything in common personality-wise.

Because your not unbiased at all in this right? Of course a ucf is going to deny and say their coach is different. Sorry but everyone coach is after a promotion, i have yet to hear any good reason that a coach of his caliber should choose a lesser school like ucf versus a blue blood like florida or Nebraska.

Based upon what I've heard, there is greater than 80% chance that Frost is back next year.
But regardless, this team is Top 15 to start next year no matter what. We have most everyone coming back.
