Laughable Scores - 2017 Football - Week 11
Is there a laughable designation for a complete and utter blowout?
See tonight's MACtion for details

NIU as a 29-point favorite with a margin of victory of 46 isn't smashing it.
Now, covering the entirety of the 51-point line yourself with 12 points to spare AND Ball State's minimal contributions...yeah, that gets a chuckle.

That result definitely helps Notre Dame, as it makes Stanford look like a tougher opponent when they meet in a couple of weeks. It will probably bring Stanford back into the CFP rankings.
Of course that won't matter if they lose to Miami tonight, but still.

Not like that matters though. If Notre Dame is 11-1, they are almost 100% in the playoffs. No matter what anyone else does.
Also, sorry but this isn't an elimination game for ND at all. If they are 10-2, and USC wins the P12 at 11-2 and Michigan St wins the Big Ten at 11-2, and Big 12 produces a 2 loss champion- it won't take much more for them to get in. Maybe only a Miami win over Clemson in the CCG. Especially quite frankly if Georgia loses today to Auburn.

I'll bet the first person who responds $50 that if Notre Dame loses today they will not make the playoffs. It ain't happening.
And BTW, I do think it could matter. Yes, if ND wins out, they are very likely to make the playoffs. But there are scenarios that involve say 1-loss Georgia and 13-0 Wisconsin and 12-1 Oklahoma that could make it very interesting. In that case, Stanford's win over WASH could provide a needed boost to ND's resume.

uh, no. Notre Dame at 11-1 is a lock to get in. Even before yesterday. Their SOS is too damn good to get left out. It's possible they could have 11 bowl teams on their schedule. With 5 CFP rated games even before Stanford. You keep on talking like conference championships are an absolute. Sorry, but that's not the case in any fashion.

yeah and they just got the ball on the 25 yard line. This might be a 56-0 type beatdown.

Halftime
Barkley's clocked out and now just biding his time until the draft. I don't blame him...his performance getting overshadowed by the media in the Ohio State game for Barrett would have had me looking for the exits, too. **** the risk to get the Heisman. The real money's ahead.
Meanwhile, McSorley probably continues to prove he's always been the frontrunner for it. Press only has eyes for #26.

Stanford's win makes Boise State's case just as strong for the NY6 bowls. San Diego State beat Stanford, and Boise State beat San Diego State handley. The Virginia game was just a fluke that only happened once in a while.

But it DID happen. Boise has NO CHANCE IN HELL.

Final.
Strange to think that UVA might win the Commonwealth Cup this year. First time GT has ever beaten VT but lost to UVA in the same year.
