RE: Week 11 AP Poll
LMAO with MSU jumping 11 spots for beating an over ranked PSU. If UCF beat PSU, they would have jumped a max 3.

They have a separate poll now.

Yup. Just like their college basketball mid-major poll.

Whats that, a 1/2 sized trophy? Cause you have to beat the team with a 3/4 trophy to take it right? Like a championship belt? Got to beat the man to be the man

RE: Week 11 AP Poll
Seems we consistently put teams in the top 25.
Yet you know next summer the preseason rankings will only give one of us (prob ucf) a token ranking in the low 20s

I will wait and see if we make the CFP rankings, I'm betting we don't and 6-3 teams like WV, Iowa get in. But it really doesn't matter as it will come down to whether we can run table and win AAC.
As for next year, I agree there will be one ranked team , UCF if Frost stays they could open at 15, if he leaves then 18-19 similar to USF this year.

If UCF wins the NY6 and finishes 5-8, then I can see them opening top 10-12 if and only if Frost is back. That may be enough to at least be in the conversation of the CFP next year if they run the table.

It matters a little. CFP rankings provide publicity/media attention, which is helpful in recruiting, so it's nice to be in the CFP rankings.
Sure, if we keep winning we will get in there sooner or later, but like making it back into the AP poll today, I'd rather it be sooner.

Don't sweat it. USF will get in this week after their marquee victory @ UCONN.

RE: Week 11 AP Poll
I believe UH received a pre-season ranking of 15 after the Peach Bowl win but that was with Herman coming back.

No team from outside the cartel will open on top 10

Doubt it, the pollsters always seriously under-rank "G5" programs and over-rank name so called P5 programs.
That said, if your scenario proves true, then UCF probably would deserve that high of a pre-season ranking.
