And.....SMU faces a tough NAVY team next week. That's a pretty tough 3 weeks, UCF...Navy...Memphis.

I was surprised at how well they played last night. They went toe to toe with UCF, and were really good. That said, I think if they use the same defensive schemes against us, we will score a whole lot of points on 'em. (Well, we will do that no matter what schemes they roll out!)

Yes.
2 Things I noticed.
1. SMU is light years ahead of where they were just last year. Kudos to them.
2. CFU is beatable. We've gotta play our game offensively and turn in another good defensive performance, but it's doable.

UCF did not play well, some of that is on SMU but they got on their end of the field 7 times and did not score. That being said SMU I think will beat a now slumping Navy and come here with everything on the line. But isn't that we want? A November football game at home with everything to play for. Have we ever had that? Even with our success the last few years? I'm already excited about the game. The atmosphere is going to be electric. Possibly the biggest game in school history? Never played for a conference championship game bid, never gone undefeated at home. This team played well enough to put themselves in this position and are ready for it and now we just need to fill the LB.

Definitely in the modern college football era (ESPN driven, national ranking is all that matters, etc.).

Whether it gets treated as such remains to be seen, but it should be the talk of the town.

it will not be a cake walk maybe our offense can put in a few plays over the two weeks that smu haven't seen.

Like the week off. Hate the bye week with all this excitement. Hate we ended up canceling a game as well. It matters little, but 9-1 is better than 8-1.

We HAD to do it, just venting how unfortunate it was...assuming we would have beaten Geirgia State. I dunno if AD tried to schedule some game for this coming weekend but arranging that on short notice likely not easy. Lots of schools play a Mercer type opponent in the next weeek or two.

Winning I assume clinches the division, since we beat Houston head to head. Yes, massive game. Tangibly speaking, biggest in our history.

I can't remember playing a game at home in November with this much on the line. Its a proper Saturday afternoon college game too.
