Well said. We'll use their guts to grease the treads of our tanks.

Clemson lost to Syracuse and remains in the hunt for the playoff. Good teams can and do lose to bad teams. And SMU isn’t bad. They are actually pretty good. There are no guarantees. I hope this goes our way and we march onward toward the conference title.

That being said SMU I think will beat a now slumping Navy and come here with everything on the line. But isn't that we want? A November football game at home with everything to play for. Have we ever had that? Even with our success the last few years? I'm already excited about the game. The atmosphere is going to be electric. Possibly the biggest game in school history? Never played for a conference championship game bid, never gone undefeated at home. This team played well enough to put themselves in this position and are ready for it and now we just need to fill the LB.

Great post

Definitely in the modern college football era (ESPN driven, national ranking is all that matters, etc.).

Whether it gets treated as such remains to be seen, but it should be the talk of the town.

I agree.

This is the biggest game in program history.

A win 2 weeks from today would put us in our 1st ever conference championship game.

Every true Tiger fan needs to buy 1-2 extra tickets and Bring a Friend.

Paranoia is a good thing in sports.

Cal and Saban are both paranoid about every single opponent and they win championships.

I’d love to see our entire fan base be paranoid about this game and buy as many tickets to bring friends/family to give the team the 12th Man we need to seal this deal.

We are a great team yet we are beatable just like every other team in the country (minus Alabama LOL)

SMU will be tough, then ECU despite their record will be tough - a lot riding on both games. But UCF is fallible too, we made them look great because we played a poor game. In particular, Riley doesn't seem to throw well in the rain & we let several early opportunities get away. So let's win the next two, then hope for a clear sky when we play the championship game, whether in Orlando or here against USF. We can beat anyone in the AAC. GTG!

Lol fans can think whatever they want. I doubt that has any impact on the team. People were also worried about Tulsa and we see what happened there. I'm sure SMU will try to give us their best shot. I'd like to "think" we'll be ready.

Combined score last two games.

As any financial advisor will tell you, past results do not guarantee future performance.

They only tell you that after they've spent an hour showing you the past results - and only because the Feds make them.

RE: We will have our hands full with SMU
Or, maybe we control the line of scrimmage like we showed somewhat in the 2nd half at Tulsa with a few 6 min+ drives, rest the D & keep the SMU offense on the sidelines. Norvell will have a good game plan, and our guys should be primed to execute it too.
