Was it really an accident? Yes/no?

I haven't read he entire thread but I recall reading about two weeks ago of China warning N. Korea to stop testing at that site, as continued detonations there could cause the mountain to collapse, triggering a radiation emergency (close to China).

Sorry if somebody has posted similar.....

Tin hat firmly planted on my head---did China just blow up North Korea's nuclear facility as a warning to Kim to behave or get toppled. I mean, this will certainly slow the breakneack pace of the progress for the N Koreans and now give China the excuse it needs to topple Kim if he continues acting a fool. The timing seems to be just too coincidental.

Lyrics to an old Jimi Hendrix song...

would not surprise me if this was sabotage though... we unleashed stuxnet on the Iranian nuclear program...

The US did.. or we let Israel do it and turn a blind eye on it?

I have read speculation that it was Isreal.. Or even a joint effort

Nobody is going to risk war by sabotaging a nuclear test site. Exactly what kind of sabotage do you think could be done covertly to a site that is designed to test nuclear explosions (ideally without toppling a mountain)? Real Life is not like minecraft, and toppling a mountain is not like spinning centrifuges too fast.

I was referring to stuxnet and Iran... which may have been an Isreali or U.S effort.. or a joint effort.. I don't believe we topple the mountain...

Reason and logic are not allowed in the spin room. Shame on you.

They didn’t topple a mountain. They collapsed a tunnel. Not to mention—what’s North Korea going to do—attack China? China is the only thing keeping NK afloat.

I wasn't really responding to any one post in particular. Stuxnet is one of the best-case uses of information warfare to achieve a particular goal. One of the first things I learned in working with computers is that software can't break hardware, but there are exceptions like this that prove the rule. But, software can't break mountains, and I think there were enough people warning that the Norks were about to have problems that this is a case of North Korea not learning from the lessons that those who went before them had learnt.

Oh, stfu.

Why don’t you bring one or the other once in a blue moon when you’re done admiring yourself in the mirror?

It’s a thread of speculation and “what ifs?”.

You got anything worthwhile to add for a change?

Anything?
