Underestimating my Panthers again. Top 300 by end of season, book it!
You must be so proud.
You know the saying "Nowhere to go but up when you're at the bottom"? Coach Evan showed us another option, "stay exactly where you are".

Basically, they think we'll be lucky to win 13 games.
Nah bro.
This same site also has the only bowl eligible team right now from CUSA going to the Bahamas Bowl, The only thing entertaining about CBS Sports is their Bottom 25 in college football.
They have Wichita State at #5. I like WSU and Gregg Marshall but no way are they a #5 team. I feel like after the first 10-15 teams he just started pulling names out of a hat.
Wichita State at 5 may be a touch high, but they are a top 10 team at the worst. They are pretty stacked with returning players from a very good team.

However, I think the rankings of CUSA teams in general is pretty terrible.
Im generally fine with the top 3 though I think ODU/LT is a crap shoot. Marshall is way too low, imo. This ranking suggests ODU will be 70 spots worse than last year; I don't believe that.

2018-19 should be our year IF Elmore stays.
Those who go to practice are saying this team will be much faster than last years team, if that's even possible. They also say its a better shooting team.
D'Antoni said he hasn't named a starting 5 yet but everyone can most likely name at least 4 in PG Jon Elmore, SG CJ Burks, F Ajdin Penava, PG/SG Jarrod West. The last spot could go to F Dani Koljanin, SG/F Jannson Williams but my guess it will be SG/F Phil Bledsoe.
Even if Elmore is told he will be drafted next year and leaves we still should be fine. I think West is just about as good as Elmore is, we would just have that much more depth if he stays. Plus if we get Mac McClung who has decommitted from Rutgers, we should be able to red shirt him next year if he comes, if Jon stays.

McClung committed to Georgetown a couple weeks back.

That's stunning, and puts this ridiculous list of ranking all of the teams together even more obtuse. It is stunning to me how they value Conference USA Basketball.
I really and truly believe we are going to be looking at a special season this year from many of our top teams.

So Charlotte is much improved and putting itself in position to compete for an NCAA bid in a year, but is about 20 spots worse than they were at the end of last year. Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

And it still won't matter with no D or rebounding.

I'll take that! By the way, FIU is going to just blow, blow, blow. I can't believe I have season tickets. Hey at least our men's soccer team is top 10, right? And, our football team is heading in the right direction after 3-4 years.

That's why I think UTSA will finish higher than CBS has us. We had a young team last year, and I have a lot of faith in Henson's ability to get the most out of his players. I can't see us stalling or falling in his second season at the helm, and believe we'll rather take another step forward.

Every CUSA team will finish in top 100 signed all CUSA posters...(preseason posts, then season starts)

North Texas won't fare well with a starting lineup of Roy Orbison, Don Henley, Norah Jones, Meat Loaf and Pat Boone.

Not us. I think we are ranked a bit high. We’ve lost over 10 scholarship players over the last two seasons. I think we will finish in the 175-225 range.

Yeah, I was going to say something very similar. Just looking at everybody's reaction and comments from each school it definitely looks like a theme. Everybody thinks they're going to be way better than the prediction.
Something's gotta give.

Except for FAU, USM, Charlotte, FIU, UTEP, etc. I think the teams that think they're going to compete for the championship think they're better than predicted, which isn't unusual in any league or for any fanbase. If you don't have optimism before the season, it's hard to be a fan.
