I like it. That Marshall vs. SDST game would be an awesome much up. They could both be in the top 25. I would love if we could get 10 teams in.

Good team but the location... Marshall will not travel out West for a bowl game unless for some reason we would ever make the Fiesta Bowl.

Minimal to no chance of 10 teams as the current bottom teams in 14 team CUSA:
UTEP 0-7
Charlotte 1-7
Rice 1-6
ODU 2-5
MTSU 3-5
La Tech 3-4

At this point and IMO I feel 7 is very realistic, 8 is a possibility and 9 is a stretch

Marshall 6-1
WKU 5-2
USM 5-2
UTSA 4-2...11 game season due to hurricane cancelled game
FIU 4-2...added 12th game vs UMass on 12/2 due to hurricane cancelled game
FAU 4-3
UNT 4-3
UAB 4-3

Tech and MTSU could still get to 6-6, but I don't like MTSU's odds.

FAU vs. Fresno State or Houston sounds very interesting to me. Very intriguing match-ups. FAU vs Tulane does not get my dander up.

Yeah I don't see that happening either. The furthest I could see us going is to the Armed Forces to play Army. And that only happens if they fill both FL bowls up with other schools. I could see us taking NO also.

WKU will prob lose @Vandy and @Marshall. As for the other 3 games, who knows. I'm guessing WKU will end the season at 6-6 or 7-5.

Brent returns on Nov 4, but Richie James is done.

So, FWIW.

I hope James heals well. Also hope him staying in the game for 2 extra plays didn't injure him any further than he already was on Friday. When I firt seen the way he was holding his shoulder I thought it looked dislocated. Thought for sure there would be an injury timeout and your DRs take him out of the game.

Marshall vs Ohio would be great... just not in a bowl. We’ve already done that and even worse Bahamas? 03-puke

ESPN would have USM in the N.O. bowl if we went 12-0!01-wingedeagle

IF we go 6-6 we'll be in the N.O. Bowl...and we ain't going 6-6!

Agreed. We could go 11-2 or 6-6 and would still go to the New Orleans Bowl.

I brought this up because with Brent we are going to be fairly heavy favorites against UTEP, Charlotte and ODU.

And according to dahbeed Brent is going to have a field day in Bowling Green. Though I have a feeling the team, after the expectations, are about ready to pack it in could conceivably go 7-5 at which point our university's leadership will be salivating to get us in the new (as of yet announced) bowl game in Azerbaijan. Although, I think there is a chance we could end up in Handan, Xuchang to play exhibition bowl against a first year college football team from China. Special order from our President (he really likes China).

Agreed. We could go 11-2 or 6-6 and would still go to the New Orleans Bowl.

That’s mainly due to the fact ESPN wants ratings along with butts in seats. ESPN knows we’ll put the most butts in seats of all CUSA teams due to our location to New Orleans. They then usually assume butts in seats will help ratings because people watching on tv aren’t tuned out because the Dome is 90% empty.

Maybe not those exact reasons but it’s definitely something that goes into consideration. CUSA probably wants us in New Orleans for similar reasons as well as it cuts down on transport costs expenses.
