Rank em post week 8
Toledo- another 10 plus penalty day and another win. Without these?? Toledo would be crushing teams.
NIU- defense win championships... I wish they would have beaten BC to help the MAC perception. They were plenty capable.
WMU- better than average with a questionable qtr here and there.
OHIO- offense! and MAC East front runner
Akron- will probably lose to any bowl team, not 6-6 or in CUSA.
EMU- best 2-5 team in the nation?
Miami- literally forgot you had a team still... But picked you to beat a depleted UB team
CMU- a spicy offense who can eat up bad teams
UB- lost its QB, and its season hopes.
KENT
BGSU
BALL STATE

Did Miami get kicked out of the MAC in the last five hours or so?

NIU was capable of beating ranked SDSU as well, too many mistakes in both games unfortunately. But i will take the win vs the Huskers.

The schedules reset next year so we'll probably play next fall, though since we both have set crossover games against BG and Ball State it may be less frequent in the long run imo. I'd also expect us to draw NIU or WMU, it'll probably be a tougher West slate for us next year.

Toledo - clearly the #1 team
NIU - look to be good, but still have questions
WMU - same as NIU
CMU - never know which team you are going to see
Akron - same as CMU
Ohio - same as Akron and CMU
Miami - completely different team without Ragland
EMU - would not shock me if they beat NIU/CMU but they have a poor record
BG - poor
UB - different team without their QB
BSU - very poor
KENT - very poor

I'm not gonna lie, I literally was typing out a response as to why they could beat WMU, only to realize I watched that very game 2 days ago.

It's really amazing to think Toledo has 5 seasons with at least 9 wins since 2011, but no MACCG appearance. They look very good this season, but who knows if they drop a game to NIU, WMU, or maybe even Ohio.

Toledo is set up for failure every season with MACtion.... We always have an inflated win total because the games people want to see on ESPN in November are the the competitive teams in the league. NIU, OU, BG (rivalry), WMU. Which programs have been more successful than those in the past 5 seasons? Even Akron will be able to carry momentum into a would be championship, while the top 3 West teams usually end in a gauntlet.
Boo hoo I know, but do you know how many Toledo fans would love to get NIU in Sept or Oct?

The MACW in general has it harder most of the time. CMU has been very average the past few years yet we always beat Ohio who finishes #1 or #2 in the MACE. Toledo, NIU, WMU have all been top MAC teams in recent memory, while the MACE teams face a relatively easy schedule and have an advantage heading into the MACCG. CMU had a stretch from 2012-2015 where they went 12-0 against the MACE and we weren't even a good team during that time.
The last time a MACE winner didn't have a loss to a MACW member was Miami in 2010. In that same time span, there have been 4 seasons where the MACW winner didn't have a loss to a MACE opponent. It's the same story every season basically, the MACE will have 1 notable win over the MACW, while the MACW routinely beats the top teams on the MACE.

I think the game analysts during the NIU-BG game said that NIU had something like a 23-2 record against MAC-E opponents since 2010.

Same with less oppos here. Lost to Ohio in 2016 and Akron in 2013... Thats it since 2010.
