I'm wondering, it's some of the very folks who made some of the "inane" comments taking exception in this thread, saying the OP shouldn't call out fellow posters, but they take no issue with calling out the players & coaches.

Wrong LOL
I was one of the ones that disagreed with the inane attacks on the players and coaches in the game thread. Heck I even said defense won us the game in the thread.
As for this thread, just calling it as I see it - bush league. It's in the same league as the inane comments in the game thread. But it's a free country - so do as you please.

I’m not a proponent of criticizing players and coaches during the flow of a game but as fans, everyone has a right to express their feelings during the course of a game. There were disagreements in the game thread itself, so starting a separate thread calling out other fellow Tiger fans is bush league.
Well there is a difference between making comments that are critical and making comments that make people wonder if you had a lobotomy.
ANYONE who thinks Ferguson should have been benched deserves to ridiculed. Even IF Memphis went on to lose the game, Ferguson has shown more than enough that he is either the best or 2nd best QB in Tigers' history. To call for a benching is absurd.
It’s hypocritical
Posts quoted ranged from defense sucking to offense not showing up in first half to benching Ferg
Ppl attacking Ferg were dumb but this thread is more than just the QB play
Hey all power to you all. Being a prick just ain’t my cup of tea
Did you manage to say that with a straight face?
yup

It’s called “how to not be a d!ck for dummies”
Amazon doesn't have it, so I would appreciate it if you loaned me your copy.
You probably need a “how to find stuff on amazon for dummies”
Oh yeah? Well explain this, smart guy!

I guess "for dummies" has been removed

Ok I changed my sentence to read "some"........but to make the inane comments noted is bush league too, right? Maybe more so since it's directed at our coaches & players.

RE: The Most Ridiculously Inane Comments From Last Night's Game Thread
I've always been big on being respectful in general, but have always viewed the specific game threads as a bit of a place to vent when things are going wrong.
Not to bash players really, but to say 'oh crap' or 'that sucks' or whatever frustrated things you would say. At halftime, things looked to be going poorly, and I'd assume most of the fans were frustrated, as was I.
We won, it was fun, and we're 6-1.
Good times

I really don't think anyone is saying you don't have a right. I think what is happening is some people my be high or drunk and who knows what else and post things that are not well thought out. Like....why judge the final outcome of a game based on the first half of play. I am sure most football fans have heard about half time adjustments and those can make a difference. So, those extreme negative comments in the first half, make little sense. So, if someone makes a silly, not well thought out comment....there is the chance that someone will eventually call them out. Seems reasonable. Both are exercising their rights to free speech. Free speech has never been at the point where you will not be held accountable for your speech...just look at the NFL.

Anyone who goes through a game thread looking for heat of the moment reactions to make some kind of point is as low as a snake's belly in a gutter.
