Going 6-1 in this league is not easy. This league is shaping up to be a really good football league. Nice to hear even the ESPIN announcers state that the AAC is "knocking on the door".

Utterly amazed.

How about 6-1 with a defense that lost 5 starters for the season and had more than 14 down for an extended period of time.

Yep. And the guys we lost that first game were big time players.

I absolutely thought we would split with Houston and Navy at best. With all the injuries this is one amazing season.

I'm proud of this team for never giving up tonight...I thought they were dead in the water most of the game. I love it when my instincts are totally wrong!

I'm eating a big old chunk of crow right now and proud to do so. I almost turned the TV off at halftime and declared for all of Facebook to see that the game was over. They didn't stop playing for one minute.

I didn’t turn it off. But I did relegate the game to my phone as I tuned in to the NLCS. I think we as Tiger fans have been conditioned to expect the worse and we still aren’t used to winning. We constantly look over our shoulders for the stupid loss. So I think you turning the game off is forgivable. At least this one time. Lol

Agreed. I lost hope with the pick in the end zone. Even walked away and didn't see them over turn the play. I walk back and we have the ball and score...lol. Crow and ice cream has a strange after taste.

It really is a fun season and I am enjoying the ride.

Even my orange blooded Vile graduate nephew watched his first Tiger game of the year tonight and grudgingly admitted that the Tigers are the best team in TN right now, bar none. Although, he did wonder aloud how we are 6-1 with such a horrible defense. I had to explain to him why we have been so horrid on that side of the ball, except that we've done pretty darn well with half the defense being second string, freshmen, etc.

And, if we could have made up the Georgia State game, we'd be 7-1.

Tulane, Tulsa, SMU & ECU - and all but ECU have shown they can win on any given day. Got to stay focused, get a good start each game & win out! Go Tigers!
