...I wonder if Coach Candle and some other staff won't make the trip up to Kalamazoo? Rare opportunity to scout in person both your next opponent and a key November opponent...assuming there is a game. Still raining in K-zoo and that field looked a mess. Some unconfirmed reports that turf was even "bubbling up".

Is that legal?

Good thing is it gives Akron 1 less day of rest before next week. Bad thing is it gives WMU one more day of rest after their marathon game last week against UB.

yep, first thing that came to my mind - along with the fact that I can watch this game instead of the Lions (not even sure if this is their bye week or not). You can bet the coaches and a number of players will likely be watching as well. Coaches can spend their time before the game reviewing tapes and seeing how well they can call out defenses and what they would run before the play starts - and also what the Akron tendencies are on offense under down and yardage situations and how they line up and personnel in the game. At least that is what I would have the coaches doing...

Game is not being televised according to the UA website, only audio. Will have to watch the Lions. Or, UT soccer plays at 1 against Buffalo on ESPN3.

yeh, just found out after searching the ESPN3 site. I shouldn't have assume they would stick around an extra day to televise it. Guess I'll paint shutters outside instead. Wind ought to dry them fast, and I should be able to dodge the rain - I hope.

Too bad Buffalo couldn't have scored a total of 3 more points in those games against WMU and NIU. 1 in regulation against WMU and 2 against NIU. That would have helped a lot - but should keep us focused on our own destiny. We need to control that, not what others do. Have them both at home - just like 2 years ago...better turn out different than those games.

Akron's uni's remind me of ours from 2000.

Western sure blew their potential go ahead drive settling for the FG. They should have kept running it as they were on a roll on the ground. Plenty of time left, though.
