Basketball TV schedule

Surely this isn't the final schedule is it? ODU with only 2 actual over the air TV games scheduled and both on BeIn, which hardly anyone gets?!? Maybe we're spoiled, but I'm used to 12-15 games on actual TV consisting of ESPNs, MASN, CBSN, NBCS, ASN etc. Would 2 games on a crap network be the worst ever since moving to D1? Is ODU working on their own TV agreements in addition to this? Seriously, this can't be it.

I think its a get with the times thing. Everything is being streamed now. 8 games total, not happy but not sad either. Not having ODU @ VCU is a fail by C-USA.

Out of conference games are controlled by the home team. So. Not a fail at all. It's the A10s game.

I would think ODU @ VCU will be part of the A10 package. Thing is, its not 8 games on TV, its six streaming and 2 on TV. CUSA is spinning it. I think this is a CUSA thing. For reference, every A10 team (even the worst) had a minimum of 8 games on actual television last year. Students get excited for TV games, Players get amped up for TV games. Recruits want to know they will be on TV and like to watch their possible teams on TV. If this is the best CUSA can do, and ODU can't somehow supplement it with its own deal, we have a serious problem.

Not sure about Fios but they've been simulcasting the Stadium games on Cox in Norfolk. So, the deal is pretty much the same as the ASN deal with better access for those that dont live in Hampton Roads.

+6+2
This is exactly right. This conference is a complete and utter dumpster fire on the basketball side. It is as irrelevant as the Big South. We need out somehow some way ASAP!

I counted 16 TV appearances for Middle Tennessee and 8 for Old Dominion. Message seems to be - win more, be more successful, and be on TV more.

RE: Basketball TV schedule
Is there a PPV service like Monarch Media TV or one by C-USA that people can subscribe to that will allow everyone to stream all of the games?
I ask because I have never subscribed to either of those and am not familiar with their content or quality.

Glad ODU started a football program so now ODUBB get such a garbage TV schedule. Especially when football is officially dying and may not exist in another 20 years, but by all means spend that money and build that big stadium. CUSA is such a joke.

The CAA has lost ALL of their TV deals. No NBC Sports, No CSN (or whatever they're calling it now). CBS is streaming 1 game a week on a service I have no idea how to access.
Just in order to get their tournament final and semis on actual TV (CBS Sports Net) this year they had to move the whole thing back a day to end on a Tuesday.
