Utah summer league games this week have shown great quickness and athleticism, so, will be interesting to see if David's speed is still noticeable or just another player on the court.

Besides Marcus/FIBA and Terry/French Championship, incredible we have two more on this stage tonight.

Cohn did not make the final summer league roster.

Thanks for the correction. That's what I get for assuming. Well, look forward to seeing if Daniel gets some court time.

Looks like Daniel recorded a DNP in the boxscore. Bummer.

Daniel with no court time for the third game. Would think Daniel is facing a crossroads decision to return to the G-League or look to start making better money somewhere overseas. Regardless, think he needs to escape the Celtics bottleneck, as Marcus did.

Even Joe Chealey saw six minutes of action tonight for the Hornets against the Celtics.

I am curious as to why the NBA teams give zero minutes to guys in the summer league. The whole purpose is to assess talent, and it can't be assessed sitting on the bench. Daniel and a couple of other guys haven't played a lick yet.

I hear you, but a lot of the summer league is assessing strengths and weaknesses of those you expect to contribute. If you want to know how a player you're intending to keep around operates in certain situations, you need to get them game time to see those situations play out.

I'd love for him to get some minutes just so he can be scouted by other teams and show off his skill set, but there just aren't enough minutes to go around for Boston, right now.

Could it be that Boston signed him precisely to keep other teams from assessing his skill set along the lines of Alabama giving scholarships to folks they didn't want to face, but probably weren't quite the quality they wanted, prior to scholarship limits being ratcheted down?

Boston seems to do this, they stash players. I get it's different from the way college does it, but I remember when Marcus was drafted most pundits noted Boston had an abundance of guards, and the only real logic for their choice was to keep others from getting him. Brad Stevens is a smart guy, he knows the intangibles players have and the benefit of keeping them occupied.

Didn't realize this until now but Jim Moran who is an Asst Coach for the Trail Blazers (past 3 years with them), is acting as their head coach for their Summer League team. They are 3-0 in Summer league this year under him.

Looks like Dixon got 5 minutes of playing time today (with 3 minutes to go) coming in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd Quarter. 0-1 (missed a 22 footer) with a foul and a +4.

Daniel tallied a bucket, rebound and assist in 8 mins during Boston’s final game Sunday....a loss to Jimmy Moran’s Trailblazers.

Portland went on to win the Vegas summer league this evening, finishing a perfect 7-0.

Summer League, as far as playing time in games, appears to be a nothing for Daniel. We'll have to see what Celtics do with him.

Marcus is with USA team which enters, I believe, a practice week or two next with some NBA stars, including Curry, joining the team. Is he still held by Cleveland?

"Marcus Thornton (2015 PIT, William & Mary) signed with one of the top teams in Turkey. He earned a lucrative contract in Europe after a sparkling season in the NBA G-League with the Canton Charge, where he averaged 18.8 ppg. Banvit was a semifinalist in Turkey's BSL last season."

If you are an American citizen, you still have to pay income taxes to the US though I am pretty sure.

Again, it appears no NBA solid chance for Marcus.

If he lives in the US in the offseason, probably. If he completely moves overseas (and spends 330 days there), then I believe he is exempt.

I’d pay taxes to avoid 330 days a year in Turkey.
