I think most of our fans are already trying to prepare themselves for the inevitable. We knew after last year that he would probably be gone with another good year. Hopefully we can keep it going and give a reason for other schools to feel like they have got to have Coach Brown.

Hoping he chooses to stay much longer, but at least through next season so he can be here when we open the new end zone facility. He's worked hard to make that a reality. I'd love to see him at least coach in the facility for one year before leaving.

You're just looking for a reason not to like the guy. He's dramatically improved our football program - he can take whatever tour he likes.
I like the guy, think he's done an incredible job for Troy, which is why I want him to move along. We don't need Troy getting all disillusioned by their success.

I think many Troy fans expected this when he was hired. We knew he was a great coach from his time as our offensive coordinator when we were winning conference championships. The question was would he be able to transition from coordinator to head coach successfully. Many fans expected this would be a short stop on his resume before moving on to other things if he were able to do that.

And Jordan Chunn needs to eat some bad chicken for lunch that day as well.....
How much y'all paying the guy, and how high can you go to retain him???
I think if Troy does try to retain him, then my guess is Troy will offer him around $1mil. Even then I'm not sure if he stays for that. He may have goals of being an P5 coach...
I hope we wants to stay in Troy to continue building the program, but if not I'm thankful for what he's done here. The cupboard certainly won't be bare for the next coach, that's for sure.
Wouldn't surprise me to see Co-OC/O-Line coach Matt Moore get a shot at being head coach. He's been around Neal Brown, Tony Franklin, and Sonny Dykes most of his career, so he certainly knows the offensive system.
I at least hope we can keep Vic Koenning. He expressed after he was hired that he would like to stay put somewhere for a while because him and his family were tired of moving everywhere. He had went to Clemson, Kansas State, Illinois, North Carolina, and Troy all within just 10 years.

If he meets all his goals he will make more than a million at Troy this year with the bonuses

But I'm saying I could see Troy possibly offering him a base salary of around $1mil, not including the bonuses.

I hear that LSU is going after Neal Brown.
I doubt that...
Doubt it if you will. I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to face up to it, but CNB is a red hot commodity amongst young coaches.
Oh I'm well aware we may lose him... but I think if LSU is going to fork over 12million dollars to get a better coach they will go after someone bigger than Brown... 2 winning seasons probably won't cut it.
