I'm asking because the term is used to describe different offenses. I've heard Urban Meyer's offense called "a spread option" and I've heard Georgia Tech/Navy's offense referred the same.

Urban Meyer's offense has some of PJ's concepts in it. He picked PJ's brain at times over the years when developing it.

Spread is way too generic. Honestly what we ran under Fritz was an IZ based spread. We just ran more triple option plays out of it (which many other teams run) than most do.

Many seem to think we are stuck with him through next year almost irregardless of this year's results. This would be due to several factors including: continuing to get APR further above the danger zone, outstanding lawsuits from former coaches and not wanting additional controversy, buyout $$, fear of scaring off future coaches by not giving him enough time, the AD not wanting to admit he was wrong about the hire.

I can't speak for everyone, but MY current mindset is I want him gone yesterday. Many others think that a lopsided loss to NMSU a week from Saturday for Homecoming will do it, still others think that once we hit 7 losses and a bowl is completely out of the picture an interim may be put in place.
