There are no errors. It is simple math. You obviously don't understand the concept. It has zero to do with what team is the most popular in any area.

RE: Imperialism Map Week 4
I get it. Someone on the UCF board pointed out a bunch of inconsistencies from last weeks. Also - Undefeated Miami owns no land in Miami even though FIU had a loss in Week 1

...
Do you understand what's going on here?
Miami doesn't have any land in Miami, because they aren't the closest University to the geographic center of the county... FIU is. FIU lost to UCF, forfeiting their land to UCF. All of Miami's territory has come from beating other programs that have land, thus acquiring theirs.
The only way Miami can own Miami is by beating the eventual owner (looking like UCF Navy Memphis or USF) in a bowl game.

If I'm seeing correctly, the only AAC teams with land still is Memphis, S. Fla, Navy and UCF.
G4 teams ---
SDSU, UTSA, Troy, Marshall, Ohio, WKU, UNT
So let me get this straight. The following states follow the following schools:
Nevada: Marshall....Not Nevada or UNLV?
Arizona: San Diego St.....Not Arizona or Arizona St?
New Mexico: Troy......Not New Mexico or New Mexico St?
Missouri: Georgia.....not Mizzou?
Nebraska: Arizona St.....not Nebraska?
Bawhahahahaha....Yeah, right.
You don't understand what's going on in this map.
the word "imperialism" should be a give away for anybody remotely versed in world history.

RE: Imperialism Map Week 4
This is interested and I'd love to see the entire spreadsheet showing how this is created. Just an example... Ohio beat EMU who beat Charlotte so they've got those 2 territories. They also beat Kansas though. WVU and CMU also beat Kansas... yet Kansas appears to be under Alabama's domain now.... how does that happen?
What over rides when a territory is defeated multiple times???

Make sure to keep in mind exact locations of Universities. I'm willing to bet Alabama has that portion of Kansas because of Kansas State losing to Vandy, then losing to Alabama.

True. A lot of it is easy to follow. However there's some that aren't so obvious... at all, LSU owning a KU territory. Either way, fun idea.

Just looked it up. Kansas' territory is currently owned by LSU
Kansas --> CMU --> Syracuse --> LSU
Kansas State --> Vanderbilt --> Alabama

Nice. That was bothering me more than it should have.

RE: Imperialism Map Week 4
Anybody know how they determined which university gets credit for territory when there's more than one in the same county? For example, UCF currently has Dade County because of their win over FIU, but since the University of Miami is in the same county, how did Dade become FIU's instead of UM's?

In counties where there are more than one university present, the university closest to the geographic center claims the county.
E.g. Since FIU is closer to the center of Dade county than Miami, they have control of the county.

From the FAQ ( here):
8. Why does Miami not have land in Florida?
FIU is slightly closer to the center of the county Miami is in and therefore took the county.
