At this point they might as well give Poljan some playing time. Morris isn't doing anything and Poljan will be there for the next 3 years. But hey, if they want to shoot themselves in the foot, that's their prerogative.

Come on, you're telling me that yesterday's loss was worse than last years 49-10 drubbing by Western? Not buying it.

And while we're at it is it worse than last years 55-10 loss to Tulsa, or the 40-3 loss at Cuse. Let's not forget the 52-7 loss to Kansas in 07.

But seriously how can you compare yesterday's 31-14 loss to the epic 82-3 loss at Florida.

Hell i don't think their loss yesterday was as bad as their opening win.

We were playing Wagner, not a MAC team. And I remember seeing that shot. I want to say it was 3rd quarter or early 4th quarter.

Apparently Bonamego's school spirit is doing for CMoo program what Brady Hoke's ("This is Michigan!") did for U-M.

While I love seeing CMU lose, I don't like seeing empty stands at any MAC stadium. Even in Mt P. I wish the MAC had stronger support across the board instead of constantly battling the Walmart Wolverine (and MSU, OSU, ND) virus. The more invested fans, the better.

According to the experts on Chimp Ill all they had to do was get rid of Morris Watts and hire an OC that would run Spread offense, and all would be well.

It is safe to say Enos - and Morris - dug CMU a deep, deep hole that Bonamego has no idea how to get out of.

Enos and Morris had no talent (couldn't recruit - doesn't matter what offense you run if you team is a bunch of "slow footed faties") to go along with no imagination or enthusiasm. WMU has benefited greatly from their presence in Mount Pleasant.

I like Bonamego's spirit for CMU but not sure if he was the right hire.

I hope WMU didn't make the same mistake with Lester.

Look at Kent St. They also hired an alumni/former player.

That being said, I like the MAC's strategy at trying former players -> Coordinators come from the Power 5 and the like thinking the MAC will be a cakewalk and then wonder why they get destroyed by the top teams. (Not to be that guy, but it was one of the reasons why I liked the Fleck hire from Day 1; he had ties to the MAC and knew what it took to succeed in it)

But the key to hiring an alumni is it can be difficult to fire them. Look at Jim Culhane with hockey.
