Went south just east of the coast of Florida and crossed over and entered the gulf and then up the Mississippi.

I moved to New Orleans in the early 70s. Back in those days the Times-Picayune would publish a paper hurricane chart showing the Gulf and the Atlantic with latitude and longitude which you clipped out. The only way you could track the storms was by listening to local TV updates every few hours and plotting the lat and long yourself by pencil.

Would a postponed game play to our advantage?

Adv of not being postponed:

1. We have a strong run game
2. We have shown that we can play in tough conditions
3. We keep our late season bye week

Adv of being postponed:
1. We can heal our defense
2. We would have 2 weeks to prepare for UCLA
3. UCF may cool off as the season progresses

Thoughts?

Only correction is that we won't have 2 weeks to prepare. We won't know of any postponement until this week's practice is finished.

The game will be postponed to another day.
Far cry from actual hurricane hitting close by and what was experienced in Memphis Thurs. night.

Ormond Beach?

Got family in Cape Canaveral. Mom used to live in Cocoa Beach, but moved to Merritt Island, still right near the beach.

Told everyone to leave after it passes Puerto Rico.

Irma is so big, she will trash the entire state of Fla.
Must leave state, and go inland.

Good luck to her. We are sweating our place in Destin/FWB.

It looks like Miami could bear quite a brunt.

All things considered, it (Miami proper) was spared much of the wrath of Andrew.

You know when you look at those hurricane eye pics with all the clouds, the eye looks like the center of some infection.

The ‘dirty side’ of Irma.

Seems like people always leave their cars and boats out. They wind up underwater. smh I guess there is no good place to leave them.

Interesting.

Yeah. When they first changed the game to Friday and kept it in Orlando, I thought it was a good idea. Now I'm beginning to wonder.
