It's amazing the result a coach can have on recruiting without even coaching a game. I guess it's more proof that players commit to coaches not schools. Stansbury at WKU, Lane... crazy the coach's name recognition, even with a bad rep, can have such an impact.

What has happened in just one off season with both WKU mbb and FAU fb is certainly impressive. And, I agree, it almost all comes down to the "name recognition" of their newly hired head coaches.

But, just to acknowledge that there is sometimes another side to that coin, here are a few other recognizable names:

=> Bliss at Baylor;
=> Freeze at Ole Miss;
=> Summitt at La. Tech;
=> Sandusky at Penn St.

They also had a bit of an impact on their respective programs.

These are instances of a school taking kids that very fee schools would go after, especially this late in the game. But Kiffen will take anyone, including an OC that is troubled.

I dunno, other than the stupid high snap, FAU looks good...

I flipped over from the EMU-UNCc game, so maybe watching a few actually competent teams became "good".

They certainly do not look good. They have had 1 play on offense. Defense cant tackle this slow QB.

They've still got plenty of speed and that makes them dangerous. I didn't expect that thier defense would have an answer for Navy's TO. I think they'll get better as the season goes on but far from a "complete" team.

Lane Kiffen had his prayer answered last night to end the game early.
