tbf in the 3 years in the league we have OOC wins over VA Tech X2, UNC, and NCSU. We've done our part from a OOC perspective.

What about now that ECU has 4 out with injury?

You sure about that? SMU, UVA and Virginia Tech all said the same thing. And our team this year is WAYYYYYYY better than any of the squads that beat those teams.

No Pirates are suspended that I'm aware of. 4 are out with injuries.

Those 4 were never playing in this game. Hell, we're all happy that Trevon is back on the team at all.

Fortunately, 3 of the players out are WR, perhaps our deepest position.

We'll still have Davon Grayson, Jimmy Williams, Quay Johnson, Deondre Farrier, Mydreon Vines, Terrell Green and Tahj Deans out there making catches.

If we can get our DBs to play like DBs, we're good. If we establish the run early, we're better.

The only one of those that I'm worried about is Gore. Of the other 3, 1 is a true freshman and the other two are spotty players.

We've also beaten SMU, UVA and VT.

Not as an FCS team you haven't. And I wasn't bragging about beating SMU I was just stating a fact. Regardless of how terrible SMU was that year (and they were BAAAAAAAAD), beating a team with 30 more scholarships is still impressive.

You want to hang your hat on a 3 point win over the worst team in 50 years go ahead. We were worse in 2015 than the first season after the death penalty.

03-lmfao these JMU posters are delusional and hysterical. It will be a shame when they all disappear after their beatdown.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a team so confident after going 1-9 in their last 10 games.

I've never seen a fan base so pumped to beat a crappy team. Seriously, wtf is wrong with y'all?

PS, nobody here plays on the team. So don't address us is like we do.

I don't think we're hanging our hat on the SMU win, mainly the VT win.

Let's take a stroll down JMU vs FBS memory lane since 2010.

2011: UNC (LOSS 42-10)
2012: WVU (LOSS 42-12)
2013: Akron (LOSS 35-33)
2014: Maryland (LOSS 52-7)
2015: SMU* (WIN 48-45)
2016: UNC (LOSS 56-28)

*SMU went 2-10, and 2015 is regarded widely as the worst SMU football team since the Death Penalty.

You guys are awesome, and have a great track record against FBS teams.

And? We've beaten VT two out of the past three years. We're not here talking about that.

03-lmfao

Exactly. JMU fans won't say it, but the ECU game is their freaking Super Bowl. Fact is, they'd get much more exposure beating an FBS school than winning a JV National Championship in any given year.

95% of the average football watching public doesn't have any idea who won the FCS title last year... or most years.
