I ask Alan Combs that on the radio one night. His answer: "Headstart"! I swear it was the next day that a study by, l believe it was Michigan State, found children attending Headstart were no more likely achieve the 1st grade standards as those who didn't. Brilliant!

Our founding fathers believed in the power of the states and small limited federal government. They didn't impose income taxes at all. They didn't bring us ANY of the programs you associate with liberals, yet you claim they were liberals?

I'd also note that the 'Trumpster next door to you' took that military retirement as opposed to higher pay while working for the military... and he paid into the state retirement fund (or similarly took lower wages for his future benefit) AND he paid into disability and Medicare for his whole life... and if he earned it, why shouldn't he get it?

All that is money he PAID IN HIMSELF and/or gave up 'immediate gratification' for this future benefit.... and not some 'gift' from 'liberals.'

Since all the money in SS earns t-bill rates despite having an average 'maturity' of likely a decade or more (thus could earn substantially higher returns AND be more fiscally responsible while remaining 100% in US Government debt) 'we' could have done far better. We (the government) require insurers to have a low asset/liability timing ratio, but allow the government to borrow our money at the lowest cost possible, regardless of the interest rate risk.... but that's another argument

Sorry to say but like most liberals he just drives by, chunks out a bunch of talking points straight off huff post or mother Jones and never responds afterward. He is a true sheep.
