Not me. At least I'll know where not to park if we get another invite to B'ham.

So you're going to park in Hoover too?

Uber from the hotel is the only way to go for away games like this.

Uber isn't immune to the traffic/horrible traffic management.

I'd go again but I'd hope like hell for a better experience.

Nope. My son is a BSC graduate and Sigma Nu. Should be easier getting out of there and on to I-59 from their main gate on Arkadelphia.

Toyota Stadium in Frisco, home of the DIV 1 football championship game was already a great stadium. But, for the FRISCO BOWL, it will be even better. As far as a game that will have a very fan friendly atmosphere.....THE FRISCO BOWL will be the game. Here is a video on some of the improvements currently under way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCBswIzXAns

Then we have something in common. My daughter was a BSC graduate. That is where I get some of my knowledge of Birmingham. BSC is a very fine school, but Birmingham left a lot to be desired. lol

If you're expecting to finish 6-6 or 7-5 then 4 straight bowls and a Birmingham invite is acceptable.

But when you go into season being considered as one of the favorites for the access bowl invite then a minor bowl such as Birmingham is a disappointment.

That is unless you are happy with meritocracy.

This team and it's staff would look at Birmingham as a let down when their goal is New Years Day game.

When your goals is a payout of $4.17 million(your cut AFTER sharing with AAC) and you instead get $900,000 that you must split with the AAC then you will be disappointed.

unless they move about 15 bowls to new years day the tigers will never play in a new years day bowl

And neither will 99.999999 percent of all schools who play football in this nation.

actually 92%

Thanks. I don't do math.

Calling a cab, after waiting more than an hour after the game in a long line for a ride back on the bus that brought us, was the only way we were able to get back to our hotel. What a nightmare that whole scene was!

The OMNI HOTEL, one of many new hotels in Frisco and just a few miles from Toyota Stadium at the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters. A far cry from Birmingham.

Do you work for the Chamber of Commerce? At the end of the day, its a muinimum payout bowl just like the others played before Christmas. As always, I want to play in whatever bowl the team will have the most fun at.

Agree this bowl should be a much better trip than the Birmingham Bowl, is an easy & relatively cheap flight from Atlanta (my homebase) & certainly not a bad drive from Memphis.

I would go to Frisco. In fact, there's a Tiger grad buddy down in Southlake who would love to host all you guys down for the game. May have to sleep with the horses, but.

Any idea how much Frisco will payout? I'm afraid it's going to be bottom tier. Birmingham - as bad as it is - is a step up from bottom tier in payout.

I used to live in Southlake. Didn't realize a Tiger buddy was there too.

Frisco is like 35-40 miles from Southlake though. Think most would be better off staying in the Frisco area, it's new and nice.

If I'm not mistaken, it holds fewer people that the FedEx Forum does. Seems like a rather small venue for a bowl game!

It's all for TV, they'll keep the cameras focused on the field & say nothing about the crowd size. It's a part of the ESPN bowl invention to get ad revenue & live programming.

I feel like bowl games are almost equivalent to a "buy" game. There's so many different ones, that around 35ish% of all D1 teams seem to make a bowl game. I think it should be narrowed down to 10-12 plus playoffs.
