RE: Tulsa has an Official P5 Rivalry Game and You Don't
Cincinnati-Louisville is a P5 rivalry that has been played since 1929 with 53 total contests ( Battle for the Keg o' Nails).
Still working out the next meeting, though rumor has it we're starting back up in 2020.

I can't believe no one has added "The ol' paint bucket" between Memphis and Arkansas State. Legend has it, a disgruntled Indian fan dropped it off the Mississippi bridge rather than pass it off to the Tigers for winning that year... sometime back in the 70s.
Wow. I had no idea there was a Wiki on it:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paint_Bucket_Bowl
It is lacking the rumor as to where the trophy went.

The good news is, the hitching posts are updated and well-maintained in the social districts of downtown Tulsa so no complaints there.

I'm honestly shocked that Oklahoma has ANY toll roads. They're like the reddest state in the country. Typically toll roads are more popular in blue states.
Politicians in Oklahoma are greedy and hypocritical above all else.

I tweeted Dr Rudd about renewing the Paint Bucket Trophy. We'll see if he responds. Several Arkansas State fans have already expressed their approval.

I believe we've played Ole Miss 62 times, and Southern Miss 61 times. Ole Miss and Arkansas want to play us in basketball--I say no thanks unless they reciprocate in football. Same with Tennessee.
I agree. Tennessee still owes us a football game from 2004. At least Arkansas bought out the last game of their series in the 90s. If Tennessee won't play us in football I say we play Vandy to tap into the middle TN recruiting.

Since we won the last matchup, let's just recreate the "ole paint and bucket" trophy, slap it in the trophy case, and then refuse to schedule them again. Just sit back and refuse their calls.

We start a 4 game series with them in 2020. Hopefully we won't have a problem adding 4 more wins to the new bucket.

This thread taught me a valuable lesson in trolling and marketing. After my original post it had 5 replies in 12 hours. I then changed the title to something mildly offensive and bumped it, and I got 42 replies in about 20 hours.

Um yes we do.
ECU vs. NC State "Battle of the Barrel"
Ever heard of Navy vs. Notre Dame?
How about TCU vs. SMU "Iron Skillet"
or
Cincinnati vs Louisville "Battle of the Keg of Nails"

Hearing Pitino/Petrino are not pleased with Cincinnati's low whore population.
