Engineers Begin Preparatory Work for Border Wall Construction
"WASHINGTON — The United States Army Corps of Engineers has begun preliminary preparations for the construction of segments of a wall in several places along the border with Mexico, the Department of Homeland Security said on Tuesday.
Engineers are drilling and taking soil samples to determine what type of barriers would be most effective in the different types of geography along the border, said David Lapan, a spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security."

I voted for Trump. But the wall is a waste of money. It will end up being a huge boondoggle. That will be poorly funded and never completed.

that's plausible....
however, let's view the bigger economic pic.....
1. keeping a campaign promise has merit
2. ANY infrastructure support is a positive
3. the idjuts in congress can only **** this up by denouncing
I would easily do it differently from an engineering perspective (posted many a thought on this when DJT made it part of his agenda 2 years ago)
however,, it doesn't matter in the big pic schema how it's done.......just that it's done.....
that's politics......there ain't no majik switch, easter egg, or clicking heels in this game.....

Lol cons are so shell shocked from all the #losing that they think soil samples are a win.
If we're going to spend billions of tax dollars on infrastructure lets make our roads and bridges safe instead of a wall that requires constant repairs and can be overcome by a $20 ladder or $8 shovel.

RE: Engineers Begin Preparatory Work for Border Wall Construction
Homeland Security officials said the prototypes would be added to the existing border walls in San Diego and would allow the agency to evaluate which barriers are most effective in giving Border Patrol agents time to respond to illegal drugs and human smuggling. Officials said they planned to build four to eight prototypes.
Good idea.

so you want him to build a wall without doing any research on it? yep... that sounds logical.

Walls are a new phenomenon and need research?

No but you need to do some subsurface investigation prior to starting construction to know what you're building on.

We have to build the wall before we can know what it's made of.
