No. I said I prefer winning the conference tournament over winning the regular season.
I'm a tournament guy - NCAA/Conference/Preseason. And it doesn't hurt that my school is usually pretty damn good in them.
Not anymore unfortunately. And I do mean unfortunately. Beating you guys by 30 and then hearing "...but....but....TITLES?!?!?" is going to be obnoxious.
You really do sound like a Louisville fan...but with far far less accomplishments.
Out of all the fanbases that have came around ShockerNet, Louisville fans might have been the ones we got along with the best (except for Cold) so I guess that makes sense.
Do you share a common interest in ugly prostitutes?

You've moved uptown now. You need to learn to act right instead of behaving like nouveau riche hillbillies.
That's rich coming from you (Memphis State). Cincinnati may deserve some respect because of their historical value. They hit the national stage at the same time that Wichita State did, but they took it a step or two above (under Oscar) what we were able to accomplish behind Stallworth and Ralph Miller . But in the 1960's, i remember the Memphis State in the Valley under the tutelage of Mo Iba. You were lucky to win one game. Bartow did bring you to a place of national respect and you've had more ups than downs (we won't talk about Calipari's NC being taken away).
WSU has had it's ups and downs too so I say this with some humility, but we hit the national stage before Memphis State so come off your high horse.
You should note the particular poster and post my response was directed towards.

Your entire program is defined by one person. And now you're seeing the reality of the situation. And then of course, you blame it on the AAC, instead of your own shortcomings.
Just please be relevant again before the Big East totally forgets about you.
Are you serious?? You're telling a program that won the national championship in 2014, their 4th in the past twenty years, to be relevant again? And you're doing this when your greatest accomplishmeht ever is a final four appearance. Do you know ignorant that makes you look?
Hell SMU is 7-2 against UConn since the start of the AAC. We have two conference Championships to their none but I'd never talk trash to them unless it was in a very subtle way like pointing out the above because they have the national championships.
BTW, I'm calling it right now, UConn will beat WSU in Hartford/Storrs.
So because UCon has national championships I'm not allowed to have an opinion? All I said was that Memphis shouldn't be the only host site. Then the UCon fan got butt hurt and began his overplayed anti-WSU parade.
He has an axe to grind because WSU is more relevant than UCon right now. I'm just reminding him of that. I'm not program comparing.
That's quite the story you got there, funny man. Too bad its not true. But then Wichita fans and the truth haven't lived in the same area code since...forever.
You seem sore.

This x 100,000,000. UCONN four national titles in the last 20 years. WSU has what? One final four in the last 20 years? This WSU fan has zero clue about WTF he is posting. Pathetic.
Listen mo-mo,
I made a comment about the actual thread subject. A UCon fan said that my opinion wasn't allowed because my school hasn't won a National Championship. He decided to weirdly change the subject about polishing his trophies. Usually, that's a sign of weakness and insecurity when somebody changes the topic that suddenly and that wildly.
So consequently, this thread has now turned into a dick-measuing contest because UCon fan got his sphincter in a pinch over a WSU fan telling him that Memphis isn't the end-all in conference tournament locations. And then other ignorant fans, like yourself, have turned it into a program-comparing challenge.
I never claimed WSU was a better program than UCon. I never tried comparing the two. All I said when the subject was changed was that UCon's entire basketball prowess is tied into one coach. Fact. If anybody with google capabilities and has 5 minutes of researching available, they would understand that WSU has more history than just Gregg Marshall.
And finally, if only teams with National Championships are allowed to have opinions in here, then things should be a lot quieter in here than they actually are. I must've missed the memo on that one. Just let me know where the poor man Final Four club is so I can go have an opinion over there.

By what measure? Our first trip to the NCAAs was in 1955. Yours was in 1964. You made it farther first, but in the 1950s, we had made it to the NIT semifinals and then finals, back when it had about the same prestige as the NCAAs.
And if you look at overall performance through the years, even without the old NITs, we have 26 NCAA appearances to 14 by WSU, with 6 of your 14 coming in the last 6 years.
We also made the F2 twice, and you never made it.
Not that any of this matters in real life, but if you are going to talk trash, at least get your facts straight.

You may want to revisit some of your facts. Neither I, nor the NCAA, recognize some of them.

The last group I will cast my determination agreement with is the NCAA.
If North Carolina gets to keep all theirs and Kansas does too, I'll be d@%*$'d if I let the NCAA say something did not happen. Just says some schools are not prima donnas.

I cannot argue with your logic. Which specific NCAA wins would you like to remove from the ChicKUns? The ones obtained during their most recent lack of institutional control infraction or do we go back to earlier infractions?

I'm not the one leaving off the second N in UCONN in a juvenile grade-school attempt at a witty dig. That would be you.

But constantly reminding UCONN fans that you beat us by 30 all the damn time is not going to be obnoxious? Seriously?
Are you bracing yourself already with future facts?
Losers, like Wichita St, brag about 30+ point regular season wins. Winners like UCONN, and Cincy, brag about National Championships and aren't hesitant to remind loser programs such as yours constantly. Those are the facts. Deal with it.

I would prefer a weekend in Memphis, Philly, NOLA, Houston, Dallas or Orlando before Tulsa. All these cities have NBA arenas and provide much more entertaining options.
Also, the only benefit of having Tulane in the conference is NOLA. Not taking advantage of that is like having UNLV and not having Vegas host the tournament.
they have an NBA quality arena in the BOK center...
plus Tulsa is the home team while WSU is 2.5 hours, SMU is 4 hours, and Memphis is 5.5 hours away.
that's easy access for 4 strong hoops fan bases.
on top of all of that...it's a truly neutral court unlike FEF or the XL Center
2018: Orlando (Amway Center)
2019: Memphis (FedExForum)
2020: Tulsa (BOK Center)
Who is the 4th team with a strong hoop fan base?

Changing the criteria to fit the narrative I see...
There was a pic a few months ago of it stashed in a closet at the AOB. Maybe someone here has it.

Yeah...its obvious that many on here never have watched a SEC Tourn Game...because if they did...they would know UK Fans buy 90% (or more) of all tickets...so it really doesn't matter where its held...in FL or New Orleans or Atlanta or Nashville, etc...its still 90% UK Fans...with a dozen or two fans from other schools.
