So does anyone have an inside connection with Mid-Major Madness that would let us know when the top 5 WAC returnees will be announced? Personally I am a bit tired of reading about Mitchell Robinson's revolving door in and out of Western Kentucky.
I check every Wednesday and nothing gets posted. I'm tempted to call the writer out of twitter for doing a lousy job of releasing the articles, but really he is not worth the time. Its almost been a month since the last one was released. Lists like these should not be done until mid September. Then lead it up to the start of backetball season. Then you know who is on roster.
Yup, Zack Moore has transferred from Seattle since they started releasing this player ranking. Right now, once the students/athletes have enrolled in school, is the right time to "start" a countdown like this. And, release a segment of this countdown each week until it is done. Very annoying.

The guy is probably just busy and he doesn't get paid for this. MMM does an excellent job in general. Who knows it could come out tomorrow. Put down the pitchforks.

When doing a list like this, generally you have it all figured out before you release the first article.
Or we can just chalk it up to another sports writer who doesn't care about the WAC.

Greg is very knowledgeable about the WAC and wrote about it all last year. You can make your website if you are unhappy with the coverage. MMM is one of the only sites that covers the WAC in depth. I think Greg does a great job.

RE: MMM Top 25 Returning Players
Whether Greg is knowledgeable or not, going 4 weeks without a follow up installment of this player countdown is an awfully long time. As WAC fans, we should be his target audience. And, we're starting to get restless. Especially, since most of us pretty much know who are the Top 5 returning players in the WAC.

This^^^^^^^^^^^
It certainly doesn't help build a following for him when he is so sporadic. Its also not professional to start a series that should take five weeks and were at eight.
Although he could have seen that we guessed who the last five are and said to hell with it.

Once again unpaid volunteer with life responsibilities. Believe it or not these people have lives. MMM already has a big following and gets interviews with coaches. Seriously if you think you can do better you can try. It's very easy to make a website these days. Alternatively don't read MMM if you don't like their coverage.

1. Joshua Braun (Grand Canyon)
I think they got it right

Interesting. He has Jemerrio higher ranked than I would have thought. Jemerrio is a utility players with no real defined position given his skill set and size. He is just a player who makes mostly good things happen when he is on the court. It will be interest to see how Jans uses Jemerrio. Jans presents himself as a stickler for playing a smart brand of basketball. And, Jemerrio can get willy-nilly with his passing.

I knew Braun would be #1. That was a no brainer. I am a bit surprised Jones was this high, but he certainly is in the top 10. As to his skills, he is an elite rebounder, can guard the 4 and 5 even though is is severely undersized. And his passing is underrated. He can essentially function as a point forward from time to time. He was the glue that made things happen for the Aggies last year. If he developed a jump shot during the off season...watch out.
On the Aggie board, everyone kept referring to our big 3 (Chuha, N'Dir and Harris). I kept asking why Jones wasn't part of a big 4. I feel a bit vindicated by this ranking.

I think Jones is way too high. I would have placed Durham in the top 5 (in fact in the top 3) and had Jemerrio Jones behind Oscar Frayer. Perhaps I have not seen a large enough sample size of Jones to be impressed.
I'd also place Chuha ahead of Braun even though I am a GCU fan. Chuha was very impressive against GCU at GCU last year. If he becomes the focal point of the NMSU offense this year than look out!

Yeah I completely agree with that. Durham was snubbed pretty hard. Best in the league at creating his own shot and scoring in general. Him, Braun and Chuha are a top 3 a bit ahead of everyone else. They've separated themselves.

You guys won't believe me, but I didn't read the article before my post. I just read it now and feel like a schmuck with the point forward comment I made since that is exactly what the article stated. Oh well. Great minds think alike?

If UMKC had Neilson and Dixon we would win every game. You guys can have everyone else. Only other 1 is Chuha.
